I went thru two proprietary buddy hoses and they were a complete pain! This hose however works great. Namely because it is high pressure and hard rubber. I never has issues with this one hooked to a 20 gal tank with a filter. The proprietary hoses (also with filter) degraded I presume, and gunked up the filters and heaters. Even when they were working properly when new, it took forever for pressure to build up to start or restart the heater. Don't mess with those. Get this hose at any length, you won't regret it. I bought this in an attempt to fix my gas griddle. The tube I bought with the Blue Rhino unit would not hold a flame. I could only use 1lb cans of propane prior to getting this tube. My friend had a propane grill that was missing its hose, as he had takien it to a tailgate party where a friend had brought the propane tank and then took off with the hose that connected it to his grill. He was about to take it from his truck and place it out for the garbage pick up. When I asked him what the problem was, he told me the hose had been lost.
