These plates are beautiful. Some small abnormalities in the material but only on the back of a couple plates. The painting on the front is quite nice, there are some little differences there as well but I think that makes the design look even better. Good size dinner plate, tissue box for scale. Got these for the curved edges, love that in a plate. I got these as a free item through Amazon Vine Voices but I would pay listed price for this set of six plates (46 USD at time of writing this review.) ... show more

I think these plates are of good quality. They're heavy enough to feel very durable and I like the almost hand made look. I have several patterns of dinnerware that have yellow in the pattern so these will coordinate. I can also see them as very useful for summer outdoor dining.

I'm in the process of slowly redecorating my apartment and making changes in my kitchen is definitely included. I'm trying to make my kitchenware look less like a thrift store kitchen section and bring in items that compliment each other. My kitchen is done in dark brown and off white, so I wanted to add some brightness when getting dishes. My salad/sandwich plates didn't match in color or size and that had to change. I saw this set and fell in love with the color. It compliments the kitchen colors and the existing dinner plates that I currently use (there is a plan to get new ones in the future). When they arrived, I was amazed at the weight - I forgot that they are ceramic! They are definitely quite sturdy. I put one of them onto one of the dinner plates to compare sizes. It was nice to see that they fit nicely on the plate and am already looking forward to using when I have people over for dinner in the near future. These are plates of character. They come in a number of colors, and I love the deep saturated blue shade that I chose. There is a slight swirl pattern to the top glaze, adding visual interest. The bottom side is white, and that contrast accentuates the rich color of the top glaze. The top edge of the rim is the color of a medium coffee bean, and on each edge of that rim, there is a clean line of espresso color. That line, that simple line, adds so much to the character of the dish. Finally, I am quite enamored of the handsome curve of the plates as viewed from the side. Beautiful set of six plates. Nice colors. You can see that they are handmade with the minor flaws in them. I think it enhances their beauty. These are generously sized 10 inches. They look good on a set table. I would say the set is medium priced but they are worth it. Nice addition to my kitchen.

I just plated roasted cabbage and butter beans with maple tahini sauce and bake brie with fig, almond, and honey on these and it looked perfectly delectable. Good sized dinner plate with curved edges for recipes with sauce or smaller legumes like chickpeas that can roll off flatter plates. I selected the darker blue plates to provide a background to allow the food colors to pop and these deliver! They integrate well with some of my same color Le Creuset bowls. Only the superest of the snobbies might know they weren’t more expensive because they are well made, sturdy, and fit right in with my other ceramics. ... show more
