This stuff is liquid gold on my skin. I love it. But the scent is kinda eeew for me. It smells a little like plastic on me. Maybe I got an older bottle… but as for what it does after a day in the sun, worth the smell. It hydrated and soaked in smoothly and without an oily feel later. Refreshed my sensitive sun baked skin. Normally I use coco butter after the sun, but this is way better. Not heavy. I truly love it. I wish it wasn’t so expensive and came in a bigger bottle. But at the end of the day, it works. I originally got this serum and sunscreen in a goodie bag when I went to Hawaii in last October and have liked it enough to reorder it a couple times now. I only used the sunscreen while I was in Hawaii and then upon returning home to Missouri in late October (barely any sun to be protected from!), I figured I'd just try the serum on my hands and other dry skin... loved it! I just turned 50 so I'm very fond of hyaluronic acid already and all the other botanicals, etc. make my hands and other skin silky smooth with a very subtle but great scent. Bonus was that I have joint pain in my right hand from years of mouse usage and it eases that a bit as I understand a couple of the ingredients are anti-inflammatory. Only downside is that it's not available in a giant economy size... I'd order a bunch more! ... show more

I really like how this works. I had sunburn, because I used a different sun screen than the Kokua 50 which I will never do again. This product definitely helped with the itching and dryness. I ordered a second bottle. It is a nice after sun moisturizer.

    • Real skin food - so nourishing, light, and effective
I have really sensitive skin so was a little nervous to try out this serum. I’ve been using the sunscreen by this brand for a while on our whole family so thought I’d give the serum a shot. My skin needed some TLC and I was looking for something to nourish and hydrate it without all the toxins and fillers that most serums and creams have. Absolutely love this product and highly recommend!! It goes on smoothly and feels extremely light while moisturizing my skin. Unlike many other serums, it doesn’t just sit on my skin and not absorb. This actually gets absorbed by your skin to truly moisturize and nourish. There’s a faint and centering hint of sandalwood scent, so it feels like I’m walking with zen on my face. But the sandalwood is not overwhelming - it’s just a perfect addition to this awesome serum. And my skin loves it - no irritation at all. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this serum! I tried this serum because I purchased the Kokua Sun Care’s sunscreen this summer in Hawaii. The serum is cooling and hydrating. Love that it’s a natural formula. We have been going to the beach or pool almost everyday this summer and I wanted to try something new on my skin so now I use it all the time. I like the light Hawaiian sandalwood essential oil scent - kind of sweet and a little woodsy. I’ll be using this in Texas when it’s dry in the winter too. ... show more
