This awning anchor kit comes as advertised and has a handy bag in which to keep the parts so they don't get lost. Rather than a simple rope from awning to ground, this includes a shock absorber piece that gives just a little in the wind, which I think is easier on the awning.

Anyone who's RV'd for any length of time will tell you, even a moderate breeze can quickly become problematic once you've deployed the awning. At such moments, an awning tie down kit can quickly become your best friend! I've used several models, from various manufacturers over the years- and they all can get the job done. But some have been easier to work with, than others. This kit- by Kohree, is the best one I've ever owned, or used... even if the listing isn't quite accurate with the description. I now have several RV-related products for various purposes - all from Kohree, and all are well-thought out, quality-made products that work as expected, and last. Out of the box, this tie down set is no exception. The spiral ground stakes are good quality and heavy-duty. Even in rough ground, you'd have to work pretty hard to bend one of these. I appreciate that. Anyone who's camped, and had to use poor quality ground stakes- for any reason, knows how frustrating that can get. ... And, how quickly. The rest of the parts in this kit are of equally high quality. The steel springs are a professional-quality touch aimed at helping to protect your awning fabric (when it suddenly becomes a great big sail in the wind), by allowing just a little bit of 'give' under extreme conditions. But what really sets this kit apart is the ease with it all goes together, and the solid assembly. Most of the other tie down kits I've used come with light ropes you have to tie up, while cinching them down. ... That's a pain. Kohree's kit provides heavy-duty tie down straps- the same kind you'd use to secure a load in the bed of your pickup- with an innovative (and equally heavy-duty) hood and D-ring system (both, also make of steel, which securely connects to your awning's roller in mere seconds. Slip the other end of strap into the tensioner clip, and tug to cinch it down. Done. Works beautifully. Simple and solid. And that's the only inaccuracy in the listing. The straps are just like the load tie downs (as I mentioned, earlier), but the cinching buckle is NOT a ratcheting tie down mechanism (which could easily- and quickly, damage your RV's awning structure if you're not careful). Instead, the buckle is a strong, spring-loaded clip with a knurled pad meant to 'bite' into the strap, and hold it securely. It's simple to set up and adjust, yet non-destructive, and holds securely. There was some real engineering that went into designing this. The buckle has an instruction for the proper direction to feed the strap, etched into the side. Follow that simple instruction, and this tie down kit had the strongest hold of any kit I've used. No question, I would buy this again! ... show more

We love the quality of this product. It is very well made and we feel will be a strong brace for our travel trailer awning. This has everything we need, the ground screws and clamps are heavy duty, the straps are thick and should secure the awning in unexpected wind. This also has a carrying case which is an added bonus. Everything feels well made. We are very happy we ordered this and recommend it if you are looking for a heavy duty product. ... show more

    • A good addition for keeping that awning in place
A good set of straps, stakes, and springs to help keep that awning in place for when the wind decides to pick up. Obviously this is not the end all and if the wind gets THAT bad, you should be bringing your awning in... But these certainly help make me a little more comfortable with leaving things out if we walk away for the pool without having to worry about the wind ripping off my awning. I've been really impressed with the quality of this kit. The ratchet tie-down straps feel sturdy and well-made. Kohree RV Awning Tie Down Kit, Heavy Duty Camper Awning Anchors Accessories, Durable Straps & Storage Bag, Easy Installation review. The set up is very easy and simple to use. The tie-down rods basically screw into the ground to gain traction to hold the Awning down in windy weather. The only spot I had an issue using this was the campsite had a large amount of rocks and I couldn't reach the dirt fully. That is on the site we were at amd not the kit itself. Once the tie down screws are in place add the long straps with the springs to give it a little flex. Then add the smaller straps to go around the ends on the awning. I totally forgot to get a picture. I will upload when I go out again to show the setup. ... show more

If you camp, travel, have a hitch, or any type of camper than you will understand the need for having a tie down kit at all times. We went camping recently, and rain had hit us out of nowhere, followed by heavy winds. We had to put the items up to camp no matter what, but what I didn't have before having this kit was a good enough tie down system to ensure that we didn't lose anything. Everything was here the next day! It's extremely durable, no issues with using it and for the price it's the perfect gift to give someone who may have just bought a trailer or going camping for the first time!
