you get what you pay for, that lovely famous saying applies to this too. it’s big, holds all my shoes & boots & hasn’t fallen or anything. sturdy enough. assembly was annoying, the tubes did not want to go into the plastic pieces, even with the mallet. i had to use all my body weight/ force to get some of them in. they’re not strong enough to handle that force though, i had one metal rod completely fold in half when i was doing that- there goes two shelves. the paper slits are thin & simply just paper coated in a water proofing plastic type material. yet, it does the job. can’t really complain cuz it keeps my shoes organized in my entry way closet, however if this was gunna be placed out in the open i would invest in something a little more durable & aesthetically pleasing. ... show more

I have a narrow walk in closet and a lot of stuff. This helped me use my vertical space and show off my shoes in an organized way. It wasn’t too bulky or heavy. It was pretty simple to assemble I was done in about 10 mins. It is a 9 tier rack but you don’t have to use it at that height. I fit 5 pairs of shoes across one tier. I bought this as a rack for my boxes of shoes, since they were previously piled on the floor of my closet. The price was great. Materials were a teensy bit on the cheap side. Metal posts are ok and plastic supports are fine, but the plastic fabric that stretches to form the shelves is a little iffy. If you scrape something hard over it, it will leave a scratch or a tear. However, since I am only using the rack for my shoeboxes, it is totally fine. Assembly wasn't terrible, but then I have done professional engineering assembly of flow racks for manufacturing businesses, so I've had experience making sure things are put together in the most logical order and paying attention to things like tilt. Don't bother using the gloves they include. Those will only get in your way and they don't fit well. You will need a soft mallet or small hammer to lightly tap the metal posts into the plastic supports. The thing they included wasn't terribly helpful. But do NOT hit anything too hard. The materials are a little soft and can dent, crumple, or break if you smash a hammer down on them. Took me about 45 minutes to get the thing built, since some of the parts fit VERY tightly and took some time to fit together. Overall a relaxing project while listening to an audiobook. ... show more
