I had been wanting to try these for a while, and finally got them on a deal. I've never used bar shampoo or conditioner before, so I wasn't sure how they'd work for me, but they worked great! I knew i wanted the castor oil shampoo, but I wasn't sure which conditioner to pair with it, so I just went with what they had bundled together, which was coconut oil. They both are pleasant smelling, not flowery, but I had hoped to pair two that had the same scent to really get the benefit; these have different scents. Anyhow, they worked great and my hair feels so soft and shiny, I can't stop running my hands through it. I have very thick, dry to oily hair, that is colored. While it's only the first use, it seems like it has lived up to the hype, at least for me! Time will tell if I see any of the benefits of the castor oil. ... show more

I love the scent. Followed the instructions. With no after conditioning, my hair felt clean, my sensitive scalp had no reaction, I used no conditioner at all, applied Amla oil to my damp hair and let air dry. My hair had some shine (rare for my hair). Typical for me, this is day 4 and time to shampoo again. My scalp is beginning to tingle and that's an indicator that there may be an ingredient in the shampoo that I'm sensitive to. I have type 2-3 curly hair, dry and sensitive scalp. After several weeks of using a product, I usually have to change products because my scalp begins to tingle and burn. So far, Selsun Blue is the only product I can use that doesn't give me the scalp discomfort, but turns my hair into a split end dandelion puff! I'm always on the look out for a miracle product that gives me shiny healthy hair and no split ends. I NEVER used heated products on my hair. Air dry only. ... show more

I ordered the castor oil shampoo bar and rice water conditioner bar. I really like that the castor oil shampoo bar made my hair feel squeaky clean. As you can see the shampoo held together great. The conditioner kept falling apart in little pieces, and I would have to smush the bar together every time I used it. Probably at least 50% of the bar went down the drain in little pieces. The big pieces I would pick up off the shower floor and compress it back together again. My biggest complaint has been customer service. I have emailed the company twice and chatted with someone on their website since they don't have a telephone number so you can call customer service. The two emails have been ignored, and the person I chatted with said they would check into it and get right back with me the next day. I gave the person the dates of my emails. It has been over 2 weeks and I still have not heard anything from the company. If I'm going to spend my money on a product, I expect customer service to stand behind it. I would have given the shampoo a five-star, but since I got them both together, customer service for the shampoo is just as terrible as for the conditioner. ... show more
