Make up to 10 cups at a time. The mill is sturdy, heavy, and easy to assemble and attach to the mixer's hub. Adjust the knob to the desired grind, fill the unit with grains, and crank it up to 10. • Solid heavy Works Well even on an older mode Kitchen Aid l Mixer
Color: Grain Mill Size: 1
I would have given it a 5 star review but for a few issues with my old Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. I worried since the mixer was so old it might not be compatable but it was! This was one of the reasons I was hesitant to order a mill for the kitchen aid but decided to give it a try. This worked well on my older model Kitchen Aid mixer. The weight of it was so heavy that it kind of sagged toward where the grinder was. I had to take off the bowl from the stand because the grain would wind up in front of it but it did not leave enough space below the older mixer design to place the bowl in front of it to catch the grain as it came through. I had to steady the mixer base while it ground the grains. I was happy that it worked and the fine grain seems good for baking. I have not had time to bake yet. I used a 24 oz bag of Kamut whole grain wheat to try it out. I fed the grinder in segments of about 2 cups at a time. It took a long time to get through the bag. It seemed a little louder than the normal mixer alone. It does not allow you to wash it in water. There was no smell to the actual grinder but the grain smelled very good that it produced. I know other people with Kitchen Aid Mixers and noticed theres had a different design than mine. I have a base that the metal bowl locks into. Thus, your experience may not be the same as mine. Again, I would give it 5 stars but for a few issues lining up an bowl to catch the grain and the weight of the grinder. I think it is a great value because of the quality of the grain it produces. I tried different levels too. I it has 12 levels of grain. Each level is different. It was very easy to set up and use. ... show more

  • Super easy to use and clean!
Color: Grain Mill Size: 1
I recently purchased the KitchenAid All Metal Grain Grinder, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. If you already own a KitchenAid stand mixer, this attachment is a must-have for anyone serious about making their own flour or grinding grains at home. The build quality is excellent—it’s made entirely of metal, so it feels incredibly sturdy and durable. I’ve used it to grind wheat, oats, and even corn, and it handles each task without any issues. The adjustable grind settings are a big plus, allowing you to customize the coarseness from cracked grains to ultra-fine flour, depending on your needs. I love the ability to grind fresh flour for my baking. There’s something really satisfying about knowing exactly what’s going into your bread or muffins, and the flavor is noticeably fresher compared to store-bought flour. It’s also great for experimenting with different grains and blends. Installation is easy, and cleanup is straightforward as well. For anyone who wants more control over their ingredients and enjoys baking or cooking with fresh grains, this is a great investment. Highly recommend it for home bakers and anyone looking to step up their kitchen game! ... show more

  • Disappointed. Honest update
Color: Grain Mill Size: 1
The media could not be loaded. Update: disappointed. I was so excited to get this. I’ve had it for several months and have used it a lot. But it’s slow. Very slow compared to other ones friends have. It take about 15 minutes to get 2 cups of flour. I was just talking to a friend who says she gets 10 cups in 5 minutes from a different one. So definitely going to get something else. I no longer recommend this I was so happy to find this attachment for my kitchen aid. It was more affordable then buying a separate machine. It works very well and grinds my wheat berries perfectly. Very easy to use. I really like that I can go from grinding and making flour to use if the mixer for making bread without getting another machine out. Very handy. ... show more

  • Works well; built to last
Color: Grain Mill Size: 1
I bought my KitchenAid milling attachment eight years ago and have used it to grind many pounds of wheat berries into flour. If you bake with whole grains, you'll notice a big quality difference between freshly ground flour and what you buy in the store (presuming you start with decent wheat berries). The flavor of your bread, muffins, whatever, is superior, and when you bake yeast bread, you get better oven-spring with fresh flour. My only criticisms are that it takes a while to grind a pound of flour and the grind at the finest setting is not what I'd call extremely fine. Once the flour is ground, I always stir it well with a whisk to evenly distribute the bran. Bottom line, the resulting loaves of bread (etc.) have been delicious. If you have a KitchenAid, this is a great tool and less expensive than buying a dedicated grain mill. ... show more

  • Grinds the perfect flour texture!
Color: Grain Mill Size: 1
Grinds the perfect flour texture! I recently decided to grind my own wheat berries. This is super easy to use! There is a notch on the front where you can alter the coarseness. I was aiming for flour so i went super fine. Works great!

  • Convenient and gets the job done
Color: Grain Mill Size: 1
The media could not be loaded. I'm super happy with this grain mill attachment! It’s a great product that saves me from having to buy a whole new milling device. Since it simply attaches to my KitchenAid stand mixer, it's also much easier to store compared to a dedicated grain mill. As for performance, it works exactly as expected, grinding grains efficiently and consistently. No complaints at all. One tip I’d recommend: place a piece of parchment paper around the bottom of the mill to ensure all the flour makes it into the bowl—this small trick helps minimize mess. Check out the photos and video I’ve included for reference. Overall, a fantastic attachment that’s well worth it for anyone looking to mill their own flour. Highly recommend! ... show more
