This thing is so simple yet so incredibly useful! It's made of silicon which doesn't burn or melt from pouring out boiling water, and it quickly just clips onto the pot and holds on nice and strong. I have been using this for a couple years now and am just getting around to writing a review, so it is very well-tested. I love this strainer so much that I have been giving them as gifts. Not recommended for things like rice or quinoa since the holes are a bit too big to keep them in, but I've used it extensively and it works great for for pasta, cubed potatoes, veggies, marbles, ice cubes, pickles, rocks, and some cereals. Also, the strainer will fit on many different-sized pots and containers. I have used it on a small sauce pan, 6 quart pot, 8/10/12 inch skillets, and even a few of my mixing bowls. As a note: I always wash this strainer by hand. It has held up perfectly for the 2 or 3 years that I've had it now, and it's SUPER easy to clean. ... show more

    • Great buy, but some inherent things gives pro’s and con’s

The product is sturdy, excellent grip, well made, easy to use. It had difficult fitting over pots with the lip unless you fumble with it to make it fit which is kinda hard when steam and hot water is in the pot. So dont use a pot with a lip. The product is well made, so I didnt worry about it slipping off the pot when straining and it didnt slip off. I wish it was a strainer part had a little more height because you have to be careful that the content of your pot dont fall out. I used a full box of small shells and I had to use something else to make sure she shells didnt fall out of the pot. Overall, it was a good buy and I will continue to use it for the convenience. This is a good quality product, rust resistant, durable. However, it didn’t fit many of our pots as we had hoped for and was pretty limiting as far as flexibility to fit multiple types in shapes of pots and pans.

If you’re like me I make lots of things that require draining extremely hot water. My little Tupperware, yellow strainer just is never big enough anymore and the handheld thing that you hold against the pot always causes that leakage that burns your skin and steam that comes up behind it and burns you again. This thing is amazing. It clips to any size pot and after several uses I have not had one splash burn or one steam burn while draining anything that I cook five stars doesn’t seem enough is definitely worth the money. So many gadgets out there that you think are a great idea and you end up using once or never...this is NOT that type of product. I had a fancy PC strainer that you have to hold against the pot...it has been put in the garage sale pile after one use of this. Where have you been all my life?!?! No more huge colander (except when necessary) for every day pasta making. This clips on. No burns, no holding anything but the pot, and easy throw in the dishwasher without taking up half the space clean up! Best gadget for everybody's kitchen ... show more
