We used to use an EZUP and it was hard for one person. The KingCamp awning looks like it is made for my VAN (2021 Pacifica). It comes in a compact zipper carrying case. We watched the video and did a dry run. With 2 people we had it set up easily in 15 minutes. Our first trip we set it up in 15 minutes. Love the size and height. There was some wind and it held up great when some tops of ezups were coming off. When we left the site each day we lowered the top to the ground with the poles and guides lines attached. Next day set up was less than 5 minutes. Extended the poles and place it over the van. My only complaint (reason for 4 stars) is one of the plastic corners cracked where a tension rod fits. I would also suggest tying pieces of flagging tape on the guide strings if you setup in tight quarters. We did place aluminet panels on the sides for extra shade. Great for 2 adults, 3 dogs (1 Golden Retriever and 2 English Springers) at a dock diving event. In summary love the light weight compact carrying pouch, the ease of setup and size. ... show more

We purchased this canopy to cover the kitchen area of our tear drop trailer. Before we took it out for the first trip, one of the plastic hooks that attaches to the wheel broke (like, instantly). I contacted King Camp at their e-mail address re: replacing that bungee w/hook, and never heard back. While on an extended camping trip, we were using the canopy without the poles (we let it sit on the ground at the back as shown in some photos, secured with bungee cords staked to the ground, and the upper part attached to the trailer wheels and resting on the back of the tear drop hatch), and when we had a rather significant rain storm, the canopy turned inside out (kind of like an umbrella in heavy wind), and the fiberglass pole that runs cross-wise on the underside of the canopy broke. I don't have any confidence that I'll get a response from King Camp as they appear to be in China. Will be searching for an alternative shelter to extend over the back of my tear drop. Update: After some communication with KingCamp, they resolved our issue with replacement of broken items. Will be giving it another try! ... show more

Did a quick unboxing and trial setup. I will be using this off the back of my 4runner when camping... Overall impressed with the quality. I was expecting much thinner/cheaper feeling material. The PU coating is nice for waterproofing. Bags for the stakes and poles, as well as the carrying bag for the whole setup also are way better than expected. The fiberglass poles are also very stout. Quick setup. Only slight disappointment is the width, I wish it was just a bit wider, but not a deal breaker for me. This will be replacing a 10x10 EZup awning that I've been packing that takes up way too much valuable space. There are other awnings with different brandings that look like they're probably the exact same product for $30-$40 cheaper. I'm sure they all come from China and are made from the same materials. I ordered the KingCamp branded one becuase it was offered Prime and would arrive in time for a 4 day camping trip... unfortunately Amazon shipped it through UPS and it was delayed and showed up a day too late. Can't dock a star on the product quality though. I would have ordered one of the cheaper priced ones had I known it wasn't going to show up on time, simply to save that extra $30-40. ... show more

We like the durable construction which will hold up while on the beach in the wind. The fabric is not flimsy and the connections to the poles are well designed. It also packs up small which is a big deal in a small car. We haven't used it yet but will use it camping for extra coverage around the car and on the beach. I've only set this up once so far. It appears to be pretty nice and versitile. It is more of a back up if it rains while camping. So we can cook off the back of my 4x4. It actually was able to be tied to our 11x11 mosquito tent. That gave us a nice awning when raining.
