This board is tiny. I cannot imagine it being viable for any kids over the age of 5 or so and really don't see the point unless just looking for an inexpensive board to add to a kids toy collection. I'd definitely suggest looking at stepping up size to a larger board if you want any longevity out of the useful life of a skateboard. Overall quality is just okay... It will likely hold up for a while, but just is not nearly as well built or as nice as namebrand boards. It's not a total bust, but definitely not quite what I was hoping for in terms of size and quality. I can see it being a fun toy for younger kids to play with and get introduced into skateing, but they will quickly outgrow this one in need of a larger nice quality board to really learn to skate. ... show more

Got this for my grandson. It came set up great for a young, beginner rider. The wheels were tightened just enough that there is some resistance to rolling which is great for kids learning to get their balance. The bushing in the trucks was tight enough to be stable. But, it will turn. All of this could be adjusted. But, I plan to wait until he's comfortable with it as is. There is a 121 lb weight limit. This board is far too small for a 121 lb human. It's only 17" long. My adult-sized cruiser board is 31", almost twice as long. So this board is plenty strong for its size. The board came with shrink wrap on the board with the trucks mounted afterward. To cleanly remove the wrapping requires removal of the trucks. No big deal though. ... show more

I know nothing about skateboarding, but this seems like a nice intro board for kids. The wood feels sturdy, the wheels roll smoothly, the top has a gritty sandpaper texture for shoes to hold on, and the rainbow hearts are super cute. My 6 yo was eager to try it out, though she wished the hearts were on top where she could see them. There is some scratching on the underside of the nose already, but I’d assume there’s really no way to prevent that, especially on a board meant for kids. ... show more

You might see beginner skateboard and think that this is just a cheap skateboard, like the ones that Walmart has at Christmas time, but what they really mean is mini skateboard. In fact, if you order this, the sticker that will be on it will say mini skateboard, and it will come in a box so small that you will not believe that it is your skateboard. It is half the length of the board I had as an eight year old. This might be suitable for a two year old (but I would have been afraid to give it to a child that small). ... show more

I am so appreciative of the fact this company makes boards for younger kids interested in learning how to skate. This board appears to be made of good quality but I'm also not super knowledgeable on this subject. All I know is it will work for my 3 year old and he's going to freak when he gets the silly hot dog designed skateboard ... show more
