  • Beautiful but Confusing Color!
Color: After The Reign
I Purchased ten of the Kiara Sky dip powder colors for myself a couple of weeks ago after watching a ridiculous number of YouTube videos about the "dip method." I have tried about four of the colors so far (three with my current manicure pictured). I have loved each of the colors. The powders are highly pigmented, and my natural nails feel reinforced, but have no excessive bulk added to them. This color sort of has me baffled because it is a spotty blue and white color, and I am not sure if that is the intended finish or if I over-drilled every nail with this color on it??? The three reasons for my confusion are 1. that I have used the drill on every dip powder color (including the other three colors in my current manicure) I have used with nothing but perfect results...no splotches or discoloration. 2. The blue and white "blotches" look like white, wispy clouds against a beautiful blue sky...not blotchy, really. Gorgeous, actually! And the same thing happened on each nail that I applied that color dip powder to 3. The name of the color is "After the Reign" so...a pun on the word "rain"...which leads one to think of blue skies with fluffy white clouds??? Maybe??? Or perhaps I just screwed those nails up...Either way, I absolutely adore the finish on this color. It looks like watercolor or marble coloring. Just pretty...the pictures really do not do the color justice, and I will be using this color again and crossing my fingers hoping that the color is meant to be the way it turned out this first time around! ... show more

  • wait until your finished before judging the color
Color: Midnight In Paris
I recently started doing my own dip powder nails because spending $40-$50 every two weeks was getting pricey. Yes I sucked the first few times, but now I love doing them myself. They aren't ever as perfect as the salon, but I can fix broken or chipped ones way easier, plus I save so much money. I really wanted a deep dark navy and loved the look on Amazon of Midnight in Paris. When I opened it I was so disappointed because it looked like plato blue. I was so mand, I didn't want medium bright blue nails, I wanted Navy! But I decided to just use it and after a few coats and the top coat it came out to be a true navy blue. It's really pretty. This weird inconsistency with the color of the powder and the final color has led me to try others that are also gorgeous like Victorian Iris. It looks poppy red, but is a deep crimson at the end! So if you aren't sure of the color of the powder just use it, even on one nail and wait until the finished product before judging. ... show more

  • Inconsistent?
Color: Peach-A-Roo
I bought several jars from the same seller (option anxiety amirite 😂) all shown in the group photo. The two on the left (ChitChat and Vegas Volt) came together, both sealed with string tape. The one on the far right (Winter Wonderland) came alone, also sealed with string tape, and in its own baggie. All three of these jars look ship shape - powder looks good, color is consistent, matches the description, I was sent what I was ordered. ✅✅✅ The middle two came together and are puzzling - they look pretty rough. The unbagged one (Peach-A-Roo) came unsealed. Both the barcode sticker and the printed jar label are nearly rubbed off? Doesn’t seem to be missing any powder although there was spillage/leakage over the threads and on the rim as if the jar had been opened. Hard to say if it was used (noted the barcode sticker says “NEW”). Compared to the other jar it actually looks like it has MORE product in it, so maybe it was refilled? 🤷🏽♀️ The bagged one (Irredplacable) IS sealed with the barcode sticker, but again the barcode sticker and printed jar labels are nearly rubbed away. Otherwise, the powders themselves look good - again, the coloring is consistent, no inclusions/foreign objects, seem to match the descriptions and I was sent what I ordered. I have always used Kiara Sky, Gelish and OPI powders and seem to do just fine. I do randomly get the weird marbling effect some people have described, but seems only to happen when I use the KS liquids with the KS powders - I have not had the marbling effect with KS powders using other liquids. So, I think it may be a reaction with the liquids and not the powders, but can’t say for sure, I’m not a chemist! Either way, I’m excited to give these new colors a try! ... show more

  • Finally! A proper dark blue!!
Color: Midnight In Paris
I have been searching for a true navy blue dip powder, and none of the ones I tried were dark enough. This is exactly what I was looking for.

  • It truly is Navy - Don't be decieved by the color of the Dip
Color: Midnight In Paris
I was looking for a navy dip and when I received this, I was shocked by the lightness of the powder. Before my nail tech put it on my nails, she did a test. Needless to say it's a true dark navy. I love this color!!!

  • Dark
Color: Chill Pill
I use only KS dip and jel. These both are black. Not blue at all. I’ll wear it but be aware it’s DARk

  • Love it!
Color: Take Me To Paradise
As with all dip powders, it’s important to remember that the dry powder you see is NOT the color it will be on your nail. I own a collection of kiara sky dip powders and can say with certainty that they far outperform other brands.
