This is a 5 star product in my eyes! I tried dip nails for the first time this week. I don’t go to nail salons, but still want to have nice nails. This kit was a great price so I decided to give it a shot. I’m really happy with how my nails turned out. I watched a few videos about how to properly prep nails and also how to properly dip them. I’m hoping my nails last and can grow out with the dip. Easy to use, easy to apply, and a great result! The picture is from 2 dips of color. Great coverage and a really nice look. Just finished my first try of the kit! I read the instructions and watched quite a few videos prior to trying it myself and still encountered some issues which I will share here. First of all- the instructions include a first layer called bond which is not included abd which I didn't see mentioned anywhere and I had to skip it. As for the prep stage you should really make sure to push back the cuticle and any excess skin. And then when applying the base stay clear of the surrounding skin otherwise the next layers will spill over and attach to the skin which I understand will contribute to the chances of it raising and detaching prematurely. You can do up to e layers of base-powder and to acheive a solid opaque color you need all 3. If you want it somewhat translucent you can do one or two. Other than those pointers the instructions are fine and I recommend watching some videos. The result for 2 layers is quite hard, not too thick but somewhat inconsistant in color so I think next time either 1 or 3 layers ... show more

I was spending about $90 every 2-3 weeks to get gel nails and was concerned about the price and use of UV light to cure. I tried other alternatives like press on and glue on nails but none of them lasted longer than a few days and they did not feel secure. I was very excited when I came across dip nails and after watching videos, it seemed easy (as long as you prep your nails well) and very cost effective. I did my first full set over a week ago and am very, very pleased! Application was easy to do and the nails are very durable, like when I had gel nails! And the cost of the whole set is what I was paying in tip for one visit to the nail salon! Love it for so many reasons! ... show more

THIS DOES NOT COME WITH THE BOND BOTTLE WHICH IS THE FIRST STEP! You get three bottles labeled steps 1, 2, and 3. BUT!!, the instructions say to use BOND for step one, base coat for step two, then activator and top coat. I’m one nail into the process and realized that I have to order a bottle of bond. These kits are very misleading because the photos show big containers of dip powder, but they are teeny weeny tiny jars of powder. I just ordered the bond for same day delivery so when I go back to do my nails this evening I will update my review. ... show more

Color: Silver Red Glitter Green
Let’s start with what it comes with. The colors you see when you open the package, are not the colors that go down on your nails so don’t freak out! I used the glitter red and green, when I did my first dip with the red glitter I kinda freaked out because I had very little red, some glitter, and a lot of clear! I then mixed the red with the red glitter which came out nice except for they did not stay longer then 5 hrs! Unacceptable. I left the green alone because I had no other green to watch it do the same thing but in the directions it says it can take up to 3 dips but no more to get desired color. Desired color, I just want the color it shows, I have never had to dip more than twice. I just reapplied them, this time dipped the glitter red 3 times and the green 3 times, we will see how long they last. For those that say nail prep. I buff my nail up, use a dehydrator and an acid free primer. Instructions said to use bond first which is not included. On to my next issue, step 1 the base this is more like super glue! I mean literally super glue! It smells like it, it sticks to your fingers like it, it’s horrible! I normally use another brand but I am out and will not get here for a few day so I thought I would give this a try, if this is your first time, don’t do it!!! You will never try dip again or maybe you will like glue stuck to your skin if you wipe it away from an area pooling or away from the skin. Oh and the nail brush, I have never had problems with them getting hard until this one. Blows my mind how much different this one seems to be over the others The white plastic finger dip cup, don’t waste your time. It is so flimsy that when you go to hold it, it tries to collapse in your hand and pop out of it. If you have your own use it or find the little dressing storage cups that you can reuse or toss. Pros The 3rd step top coat dries fast, in like 60 seconds. The red and green colors are not bad, just wish you didn’t have to dip 3 time to get the full color, it takes up more time. Other wise this was a nightmare and we will see if they stay for tomorrow. ... show more
