These panes are a medium weight so they are not flimsy. Easy to install great to put behind sheer curtains and block sunlight and adds security at night. Right side has panel drawn left side is only sheer curtain.

The 2nd bedroom of our condo has windows that are right under a walkway light that has to stay operable. Put these up with our curtains and it blocks out a lot of the light. Definitely makes a difference and well worth the money!

These panels darkened my living area significantly! Not pitch dark, but dark enough that it feels much cooler and offers more privacy. I'm so glad I went with these instead of purchasing a new set of curtains. They're a perfect fit (measurements were accurate), and the material feels soft and well-made. Additionally, the seller included rings to fix the panels onto the rod. I read a few reviews that those were left out of the shipment or that they broke easily, but I had ZERO issues. In fact, they were a little difficult to close, but that just makes me feel like they'll stay secured. Lastly, since they're hung to cover a sliding glass door, I appreciate that they're white. First of all, I have curtains that use pleated hooks. I had purchased blackout liners for the bedroom before from Amazon and i actually wanted to buy the same liners for the living room, but they are no longer available, so i thought I would try these liners. The liners that I purchased before have integrated rings that I would hang onto the pleated hooks. Based on the video on the product page, I thought these liners would come and work with both rings and hooks, but it turns out these are "hook" style liners, not "ring" style. Since my curtains use pleated hooks, these hooks would work too. Basically, I would hook the liners onto the pleated hooks on my curtains. These liners work great in filtering out the sun., but it's not 100% blackout. I would say about 70-75%. With my translucent curtains, the combined blackout is about 85-95% on my east-facing windows depending on time of the day. Comparatively, the liners from a different manufacturer in my bedroom are 100% blackout. My curtains are 94" long and these 88" liners work perfectly, as the liners hang lower than the curtains, so they end up about 3-4" shorter than the curtains off the floor. The color is almost like a very light gray and I actually like it better than pure white as I have gray curtains. ... show more

I hesitated to get the white/grey version of these because some pics made it look like they don’t do much to block the light, but I didn’t want black liners behind my white ikea curtains so I took the risk. Very happy with how they work. I installed them in five minutes with sun streaming in my south facing window and could definitely feel the heat difference they made. They also really cut the light down. It’s not a dark room at that time of day but the photo here with one panel of blackouts up shows the difference pretty accurately. I also liked that the heavy blackout curtains gave the cheap ikea drapes a fuller look when parted on the sides. Two thumbs up! ... show more

    • Heavy and easy to attach to grommets.

These are surprisingly heavier than I expected. The grommets get inserted between each curtain grommet so youre basically alternating curtain grommet, liner grommet, etc. until both are fully hanging on the rod. I find that very easy and convenient. These are the 50" . I accidentally ordered the narrower ones in this line but they were not grommet hung. They were like tab top so I returned for an exchange. So be aware of the grommet on the wide set versus a different hanging method on the narrower set. Mine collect dog hair at the patio door which is whete I'm using these but I just pull the curtains and liners off toss them in my dryer for a refresh and hang them back up looking nice and fur free and dust free. Highly recommend the black, though not totally blackout in sun certainly better than that cheaper named brand that's just false advertising in my opinion.
