Works as described. Syncs up with the iPhone easily. The best part is, it works with keys that have thick rubber coating. I did not expect the master lock keys to fit. Will be ordering the rugged version for my work keys.

Owner of the key smart max and this regrettable product. The only positive is the clever way of organising keys as if it were a Swiss Army knife. However - the gimmicks don’t work. - The “apple find my” worked the first month and no longer afterwards. - The flashlight also doesn’t work - The plastic it’s made from feels cheaper as the weeks go by This is an innovative idea product. The execution is not the best. As an iOS ecosystem owner, this absolutely is up my alley (the AirTag version is not an option), which is why I’d like to see it done in a much better way. - Update - The keysmart team worked with me to get the find my option working again which pretty much makes this product do what it says it does. The only thing missing now is the flashlight feature, however, that isn’t a make it or break it kind of feature. ... show more

UPDATE: Previously I stated that the tracking works overall but with some delays. That no longer seems to be the case, as the Find My app will alert my keys were left at home when I leave, even though they’re on my person, and fails to update the correct location for several hours. This might be a compatibility issue, nevertheless the product doesn’t perform as advertised; it’s just a pricier keysmart at this point. I bought this for two features in particular, the ability to track my keys, and the ability to play a sound to locate them. While the tracking does work, (although it seems to have delays at times) the sound locator is a complete dud. Was trying to find my keys for half an hour by playing a sound, each time saying the app couldn’t connect. I eventually found the keys and, holding them next to my iphone, tried the play sound feature again, and still got the same error message. ... show more

I don't understand how I am supposed to put the 14 keys repeatedly mentioned in the description on this device without additional hardware. I got to about 6. I don't know if they meant "14 keys when you buy our expansion kit" or if my keys are as fat as the rest of me or if I'm just really bad at assembling EDC keychain thingys, but if I were you, I'd plan on ordering the expansion kit. I'm not sure I like it. It's a neat concept and certainly more compact than a big ole school janitor keychain in your pocket. Opening doors with it is awkward -- hard to describe -- it changes the physics of the whole thing, challenges your muscle memory. I have a concern that I am going to torque the handle vs the key too much and the whole thing is going to fall apart. If you're into these sorts of things, and I'm not sure I am, this is certainly the brand to buy. I don't like the bottle opener. I don't drink, no use for it. The first thing you are going to do is hook a key ring to it so you can put your car key fob on there. Once you've done that, you can't properly swing the bottle opener out all the way to open something, so now you're off spending more money on another solution to solve that design flaw. I would prefer just a simple hook built into one or the other of the sandwich pieces, or a thing that stacks on to provide the ring without the bottle opener. Find My setup was simple. You do not have the "Find" functionality, which doesn't bother me, in my experience that doesn't work half the time anyway. You can make it play a sound, that's all you need, the sound is plenty loud. I do appreciate not having an AirTag dangling from my keys like I did before. Can't comment on battery life; have not had it long enough. I agree with other reviewers that the lack of USB-C is disappointing. Now that I've bought one, I am sure that model is coming out next week. I agree the side without the electronics has a lot of flex. I don't think it's an issue. It's weird if you've ever owned a metal one. The flashlight is not designed to lead you out of the wilderness. It is a short throw flashlight designed to illuminate a key hole, and it is perfectly adequate for that application. Olive drab and high vis yellow/orange would be good additions to the lineup. ... show more

Wasn’t able to attach it to find my phone . There is only an orange light never green tried to factory reset no luck. The flashlight doesn’t work and no sound . I like the idea of the keys but whole purpose was to eliminate clutter of the keys and able to look for keys if lost.
