  • If you like jigsaw puzzles, then this is the cabinet for you!
This is a decent little garage cabinet once you get it put together. I use it for storing cleaning supplies, with extra paper towels stored on top. I would NOT put tools or super heavy items inside. It is very lightweight, and kind of flimsy if you have to move it since it's thin plastic, but it's sturdy enough if it's against a wall and you don't overload it. I have put together a LOT of furniture in my time, and this cabinet is very intimidating when you first pull it out of the box. It's got a million little pieces, and all the plastic parts are small. The directions are all pictorial, so you have to figure out what to do from diagrams only. And the parts list numbers made no sense. The biggest problem is that they do not make it intuitively clear that you are not actually missing parts - the parts list contains pics of items that are created once you combine 2 or 3 other pieces together. Since the parts list gives these new combo items a whole new part number, it seems like you should be searching for the combo item in the box. This will make you think you're missing items. So word of advice - look closely at the diagrams to figure out that parts starting with an S are combo items made from parts starting with a W. Words are so much more helpful than diagrams..... Anyway, almost everything clicks together, with screws used only for attaching the feet and the handles. It took me about an hour to put it together, and then it was fine. I did use a step ladder to fuss with getting the top on correctly - it was the hardest part. It's lightweight and easy to move while empty, and holds a lot. Shelves are adjustable, and the doors are aligned fine and open and close easily. It's a bit smaller than I'd like, but that was my own fault for not paying attention to the dimensions. For less than $70, it is sturdy enough and does what it's supposed to do. ... show more

  • Good cabinet
We have a big Keter Cabinet in our kitchen, and I love it. We needed more cabinets and so I decided to go for another Keter brand cabinet. I ordered one of the Space Winner cabinets on Amazon and three Tall Utility Cabinets from Lowe's. The Tall Utility cabinets are a little bit bigger than this one. I'm reviewing BOTH products in this review. The pieces to the Space Winner came in great shape. I wasn't expecting very much from it because of the comments. It is a bit sturdier than I was expecting. It didn't seem like it would be because the back panel is six pieces and they need to be connected (three panels for the top, three panels for the bottom). Everything needed was in the box and nothing was broken. It works very well for my purposes and for me it was worth the cost. In the three boxes from Lowe's, one box had one missing piece and two broken door panels. Everything was fine with the other two boxes. I was able to get two whole cabinets and one half cabinet out of them. The door panels were not broken from shipping. They were in the middle of the box, surrounded by the rest of the pieces of the cabinet, and the rest was in great shape. This is definitely a quality control issue, and I can't believe that the employees aren't noticing the broken pieces when they pack the box. I did not call Keter to ask for replacement parts, so I have no comment on customer service. Despite the broken and missing pieces, I am happy with the cabinets. They serve my purpose and are sturdy enough to hold the things I need them to hold. While the instructions are only pictures, it does tell you which part to use. Each part has a letter or letter/number combination. Some of them are hard to see/find, but it is on each piece it's necessary to be on. I didn't think it was hard to put them together. The first was the hardest and probably took me twice as long as what it says to expect on the box, but the rest went really quick since I already knew the basics from the first one. Don't forget that this is plastic and plastic is generally not as strong as metal. If you don't want to take the chance that you'll have a broken piece come and have to wait for a replacement, or maybe that it won't be strong enough, spend the money on something more expensive, maybe metal, although then there's a chance that it will come dented. ... show more

  • Satan's Ikea Cabinet
I received multiple warped pieces, though none so bad as to deal with the hassle of calling in for replacements. One of the doors had a caved in side channel I had to manually hold open to get the strut pieces into place, and one of the side panels was warped so bad the entire wall it was a part of wanted to "lean" away from the rest of the cabinet until I got the top on it. The only reason I was able to make these work is because this unit is made of very flimsy-feeling plastic. I don't get the impression that the plastic will break right away, but it definitely has a lot more flex than I would have expected. There are also multiple slots meant to be used for shelf pegs, snapping pieces together etc that weren't completely cut out of the plastic as they should have been. Keter seems to have an obsession with making almost everything symmetrical, so there's no "wrong way around" - this backfires because it makes all of the pieces look very similar when you're looking at the assembly instructions. There are part numbers stamped into the plastic on some pieces, but they're not consistent or visible enough to easily depend on. The handles mount by screwing through the plastic of the door at a set location, marked by a not-too-visible pair of squares shallowly stamped into the interior plastic. Two problems with this: 1. The documentation isn't very clear, making it easy enough to mistakenly try to mount through the random holes on the outer edge of the doors 2. These mounting points aren't pre drilled. In a kit where everything else up to this point has been "snap this piece of plastic onto/into this other piece of plastic." All of this being said, it was cheap and now that I've got it together it seems like it'll do an alright job. Just be prepared to have to call in for replacement parts, and maybe don't try to put this thing together near anybody you don't want to hear you cursing. ... show more
