Our family likes to go backpacking. Due to the amount of people in our family, a simple hand pump is not a feasible option. The operation is simple. Open it up, scoop up water and it filters the water. Make sure when you come home you clean it and The filter is cleaned out.

This is my second system from them the first one had a huge filter. The connection for the filter finally gave way after 10 years. The new one I got has a tiny filter and worked well the first 5 times after the flow is horrible. All I use it for Is to filter my tap water at home to put in a 2 gallon container on my refrigerator needless to say I’m annoyed ... show more

This is my 2nd drip bag from katadyn. My original one (5-10 years old) couldn’t keep up with this one. Filters water so quickly and is fantastic for larger group hikes. Wouldn’t consider carrying anything else for a group of 3 or more hikers
