There are many of these that have thin and weak backs to the punch area. When punching new tubing that isn’t soft, the thin back can crack. This one is reinforced. Also, if you have a snapped off connector in the tubing and can’t get enough of a grip to pull it out, sometimes you have to punch it on in. So glad the old Orbit brand punch broke . I wasted a lot of time trying to insert the fittings into only partially punched holes and using other tools to make the hole. The new tools arrived in about 12 hours and is so much better. By holding the pipe in a more round position, the punch goes through instead of smashing the pipe. You hear a little pop ànd know the fitting is going in a lot easier. Thank goodness the old punch broke so I tried something new and much better. ... show more
