I have two of these next to each other, replacing a 30 inch wine fridge that was built in. In doing so, I needed to have one side open left and one side open right. I like that the door is reversible, but it looks a little weird with the name written upside down, and one door having the writing at the top and one at the bottom. My suggestion would be for the company to have the writing on both ends, and the bottom of the writing facing toward the center of the door so that no matter which way you turn the door, it looks natural. But as for Turing the door, it wasn't too difficult. Some of the screws were hard to get to with normal length screwdrivers, and my power screwdriver couldn't turn the screws to loosen them. And if you want the door straight, you'll probably have to do this as the one I flipped is now level and straight, but the one that I didn't mess with is slanted slightly. As for noise, it isn't real loud. Yes you can hear it when the compressor kicks on, but honestly, I've slept on the couch next to it and it didn't phase me - where as when my compressor went bad in the one that I replaced with two of these, the clicking noise was louder and disturbed me more. It makes just slightly more noise than my small space heater that I use in the bathroom when it's cold out - that's the closest noise comparison I could come up with. Hope this helps. ... show more

Ours arrived with a dent in the lower right corner and a bent hinge. We didn’t notice immediately - the packaging didn’t appear damaged. We’d pretty much destroyed the box trying to get it out, so exchanging the unit would have been a major hassle. The bent hinge would have been an issue, the door wasn’t sealing properly, but we wanted to reverse the door anyway so problem solved. Other than the cosmetic issue we’re pleased with the unit. Bottles load without a big fight. I looked at racking systems and “wine furniture” and this was the most cost effective storage system I found with the bonus of temperature control. It’s very quiet, I don’t notice it at all. The manufacturer might consider more protective packaging, though it seems possible that our unit was damaged before it went in the box, and make it easier to unbox the product. ... show more

Well into year 4 with this fridge and despite some negative reviews, this fridge has been great. On two super humid days it did ice up and required a thaw. I don't hold it against this fridge because its packed into a small 12" slot where a trash compactor was and there isn't any ventilation. Definitely recommend this fridge if you're looking for something of this size. ... show more

I was a bit hesitant to buy this chiller because of a number of complaints logged here but then thought of the many times I've bought items on Amazon that worked perfectly and later deleted the email from Amazon asking me to review the product. If I had been sold a piece of junk, I would have been much more motivated to write a bad review. Given that this chiller is pretty pricey, I decided I should file a review from a satisfied customer. We were looking for a wine chiller to replace the trash compactor that we, as empty nesters, no longer found useful. With as little trash as the two of us generate, it makes sense to move it out of the kitchen every other day. The idea of adding a wine chiller was appealing to us from the angle of freeing up refrigerator space. My wife likes reds chilled as much as whites and it turns out that several types of reds are best served chilled (see the article about this in Consumer Reports). The chiller arrived in good shape with a box in a box and a layer of styrofoam surrounding the actual appliance. It fit into the compactor space perfectly but took a little more of the depth and width than the compactor did. We had our electrician install a "slim" box for the electrical plug on the side of the island to allow the chiller to slide past it. He also turned the electrical box inside the compactor space sideways in order to accommodate plugging in the chiller because the chiller is a little deeper than the compactor. All of that took about an hour and a half. The temperature control seems consistent. It can be set as low as 40 degrees F. That's where we keep it because we also keep beers and soft drinks in it. For those reds and whites that need to be poured at 50 degrees, just pull the bottle out early or let the glass sit for 5 minutes. I recommend the unit without reservations. Do pay attention to the warning that you should allow the chiller to sit upright for a couple of hours before plugging it in if it has been sitting on its side. Running it without the refrigerant in the right place can damage the unit. ... show more
