  • Not sure what “Mini” means
Color: Red
Describing this heat gun as “Mini” is a bit deceiving. It’s about average size for a stick style heat gun- yes it is smaller than a pistol grip style, but whatever. Works well, heats quickly.

  • Perfect for crafters
Color: Pink
If you are using this for embossing or other crafting purposes, you will love this heat gun. I generally use the lower setting, but like the fact that I can use either the high or low setting.

  • Great little machine
Color: Pink
It's very small, but puts out a lot of heat. I've used it several times already since buying it and it's doing a great job embossing and helping dry small amounts of paint etc.

  • Neato heato - A nice light touch heat gun
Color: Pink
CONCLUSION: 100% recommended for small work that needs a light touch of real heat. FEATURES: The fold-up stand is very stable and holds the gun in position when you need to work with two hands. It also serves to keep the heated end away from surfaces while it is cooling down after being switched off. The on-off switch is good because the two heat settings are on either side of the off position. If they were place in an off-low-high sequence, there is the danger of pushing the switch to the wrong setting. That problem is eliminated with there being on one sitting per side of the switch. The gun is easy to maneuver and control with one hand. I actually believe the pink color is a safety feature: it does catch your eye. You should need to use heat shielding gloves when working with this heat gun, but it's a neater heater when in you're in small places that need a bigger shot of heat than torches or full size guns safely apply. TESTING: The manufacturer says this is for delicate close-up work. You can believe it. The gun will not push the heat far from the tip. I tried some heat shrink tubing on wire without using the wrap around reflector. (BTW: The attachment will not fit the gun out of the box. You need to very carefully expand the clip while maintaining the round shape until fits and holds tight.) It would not shrink on the low heat and I had to keep the tip within 3/4" of the wire to shrink it using the high setting. It took more than the usual time that it would take with a flame or full size gun, but the result was actually better in one most important way: There was no melting of the tubing or wire insulation. The tubing was perfectly tight. The extra time is definitely worth it. I doubt this gun will deal with solder, so I didn't even try to soften some left over solder on a piece of copper tubing. However, when working with some 1/2 inch Schedule 40 PVC tubing on the high heat setting, it began to soften in less than a minute. So, this gun will let you have fun with PVC projects. I didn't have any melting or drying material tests to try out, but there's no doubt that the heat from the gun can handle those tasks. ... show more

  • Can get very hot, and I am referring to the housing…..
Color: Pink
Though this is pink, and may not look very powerful or dangerous, do not be fooled. This little heat gun can bring some heat. And not only to whatever it is pointing at at the moment, but also to its self. I noticed the housing gets very hot as well, and this could become a problem, if not carefully monitored. And though I did not intend it to- it matches my tool belt lol. It’s pretty dang cute, if I do say so myself. And it gets the job done. ... show more

  • Using it as a backup and for small pieces
Color: Pink
Works well for such a small device. It DOES get a bit hot (kinda the whole idea), but because it's so small it can be a challenge to hold onto if you have fat hands Like I do. Two settings are better than one, but I would like to have seen more options. For now I'm keeping this as a smaller backup to my pro-grade heat gun as I think it will work well on smaller heat-shrink pieces and in tight corners. ... show more
