Great cheap multimeter, not a piece of laboratory equipment but great for simple stuff. appliance technician here so very often have to use it in dark places, EXCELLENT DISPLAY you can see from every angle!!! You don't have to look at it from a perfectly straight angle like 70% of "amazon meters" . Fairly accurate ( enough for everyday use ). My only complaint is - the default VOLTAGE setting after turning it on is "DC" so you have to remember to switch from dc to ac. Bought it 1.5 years ago and use it almost every day - NO PROBLEMS , NO ISSUES! ... show more

This thing is awesome. Especially for being so inexpensive. I'm not an electrician, so it's perfect for household use. The screen is bright and clear. Cons: Why why WHY did they not build in a stand for this?!?! Having to prop it up against something is very annoying. This could've been perfect. I'm going to get a cellphone stand that adheres to a case and use that as the stand. Since there's a replaceable case like a phone case, KAIWEETS could create then sell a replacement for this which has a built in stand. ... show more

The auto ranging feature is great. The green light for the continuity check is perfect if you can't hear the beep. The lights telling you where the leads go (if for current or temperature) are helpful. No touch AC hot wire feature is very useful. As you can tell I like this meter.

The instrument is very good and makes everything easier. Was using it on a 6Kw solar project with Lithium Iron batteries. Everything was going well until the rain came and forced us off the roof. My new meter got wet in the case and stopped working. The screen still sweating after several days of drying it out. Thinking about getting another one fast but would really recommend a plastic lining in this pretty neat case for better protection. ... show more

I have been in electronics for 50+ years and have used many different VOM multimeters. This little meter is the most impressive one I've used. It may not be as accurate as most that I used, we had calibration lab and had rigid accuracy requirements for all our test equipment, but then again it may be just as accurate. Feels like is should cost much more. Very well made, easy to switch between ac,dc etc. beautiful display, comes with decent set of probes. Case is nice. As with most of the led,lcd whatever displays, very difficult to see in sunlight. Also I had a problem with the resistance readings, very intermittent, tried everything different probes, batteries, recycled power no help. Not put off by this. Electronic failures happen to the very best. Returned for replacement since I like this meter so well. ... show more

    • "The Leads are Weak"

*TLDR - My unit works, but the leads are faulty. Replacing with my other multimeters leads fixed my issue* This is my first time writing a review, but I felt obliged because of the difficulty I had with the unit I received, although I was able to resolve my issue. After inserting batteries and leads, the unit powered on and all seemed well - However all of my readings were around 10-20% high. I tested compared to my other multimeter to confirm (I bought this because I needed a unit that could measure capacitance). I looked back at the reviews, wondering if I purchased on a drunken whim and skipped looking at reviews as I normally do, however the reviews were almost entirely great, so while I'm sure I purchased while at least half drunk, at least I did my research. So, now I'm thinking I'm doing something dumb, so I start googling, and saw that drained batteries can be a culprit. This unit comes with 2 sets of 3 off-brand AAA batteries (which is nice, but I would prefer 1 set of Duracell or Energizer, but I digress), so I swapped out the batteries thinking they could be bunk batteries, and... same issue. SO, off to the Youtubes... The first reviewer tested continuity mode by touching leads together, and it would beep while they are touching. Nothing when I try on mine. Finally, after eventually getting to the next video review, the reviewer noticed that it took a while to measure capacitance, and that made him curious to test continuity mode. While his did beep when pressing the leads, it wasn't constant, signaling to him that there was a weak connection. When he said that I thought that I had a crap unit, but then he said "I would replace these leads as soon as possible". Finally, that made me think to pull the leads out of my other multimeter and insert into this unit, and eureka! Continuity works, all of the readings are accurate, and this is now a working multimeter. While in general it seems like this is a great unit based on reviews, this was a gigantic PITA to sort out, and hopefully the leads are the only thing they cheaped out on. Otherwise, for the price its a good unit (I'm only on day one, mind you) but if you are buying because you need a multimeter quickly and you don't have another unit that you can swap leads with, you might want to look at another option. ... show more

Honestly don’t like the buttons to switch settings with it. I wish it had dial only cause if you pass what you want to bee on you have to keep clicking to get to the one setting you passed
