  • Just get one, you'll need it.

I've been testing a whole bunch of solar related items and recently was testing inverters and I need something to test them out - for not much money. It was great, plug it in, get a reading or see what the errors were. Super simple, super easy to read. It helped with the testing as it did show one unit tossing errors, which I would not have noticed in normal everyday testing. Once that was done, running around the house plugging into every outlet, I found a few minor issues as well. When was the last time you bought an inexpensive tool that made your life much safer? Of course, now I have to go fix a few things...... ... show more

This is a great little tester which is quick and easy to use. I like the fact that it shows you the line voltage and also the trip time of GCFI breakers. Highly recommended.

  • Great tester, a little slow for my work
Style: Receptacle Tester
I’m a home inspector and this tool is great for identifying issues that are clear to show a customer. However it is slow to turn on, and if you trip a GFCI the tester runs a test that takes a few seconds before it will read the next receptacle. It seems like it wouldn’t be a big deal but when you are testing 100 outlets and the tester keeps turning off between tests or takes a bit to reset it can slow me down when I’m trying to move quick. It’s a great tool, but slows me down a bit. Just writing this for other inspectors who might understand that speed is important when trying to get through a home quickly. I opted to carry this and another basic tester. If the basic tester finds something I plug this in just for a clear image readout of what’s happening to help when a customer is questioning the result. ... show more
