Unfortunately, my pad arrived warped, and this appears to be permanent, because it's been relaxing on a flat surface for two weeks in a warm room and it's still the exact shape it arrived. I finally just nailed it down with some small brass tacks, but obviously that's a no-go for a lot of potential users. Also, I'm not convinced a few of the details are worth having. There are small (quarter-inch) squares embossed into the main work surface marked "screw position" but a) only the tiniest screws would fit these indentations, b) screws that small are hard to get back out, and c) it interrupts the main work surface, making the right 4" or so unusable for normal work. I would much rather see these excluded, and a magnetic strip installed under the parts strip on the left side, which could be used for the same purpose but would easily hold larger screws. Right now anything you put there is in harm's way - it's super easy to knock out of those slots because it has no side lip on it... ... show more

I bought this silicone mat to help with my electronics hobbies. It has some really nice features, including the small separators for keep screws and small components. My only complaint is that it is shipped rolled up in a box like a poster. I can't get it to lay fully flat. I've had it unrolled for about 2 months now and it still curls up on the edges. That's why I only gave it 3 stars for "sturdiness", although it's really not a sturdiness issue. ... show more

Just what I needed. It arrived rolled up pretty tightly so it had some deformation at the edges due to being rolled up. Hopefully it’ll settle out and straighten out. The features like magnet areas and numerous pockets and general layout are going to make projects more organized and enjoyable.
