This was really fun to watch my 1.5 yo cat play with on the first day. As with most other toys I’ve bought to try and keep her entertained, she did get bored with it pretty quickly. I liked that it came with different toys to attach, however one of them just seemed a bit heavier so the touch didn’t pounce back as well as the lighter ones. Also, I just wish base the wire was a little bit longer with a slightly bigger gauge. I think this would have kept her entertained for a lot longer if I bought this when she was a kitten. My cats love this toy, especially when I just use the wand and attached “bird”. They still play with it when it is attached to the suction cup on the floor, but get bored easily. I wish it spun automatically.

My cat will play with this throughout the day and happily tires himself out. His favorite attachments have been the birds. It sticks well to surfaces as long as the adhesive and surface are both clean and dust-free. Thestick/rod portion that screws into the base has separated over the last few weeks during his play so I have to reattach every now and then. I may trying to glue it. this is my kitty's favorite toy. here's our history with it and how we make it happen, despite it not functioning as advertised. I couldn't get the suction to work, so then I taped it to the floor with packing tape. that didn't last long. I started sticking it into couch or armchair crevices, and it has the same effect; when she bats it, it bounces around. doing this has had a wonderful silver lining. after she does all the work of batting, she eventually gets it free, so she completes the hunt-catch-kill process like a cat in the wild. if the suction had worked, she would never have gotten this satisfaction of the catch-kill part, so I am so happy she gets to have this experience. her final step is that she puts the bird in her mouth, dragging the long wire through the house, to give me this gift, just as if she were an outdoor cat bringing me a real mouse or bird. it is the cutest! so I am glad the suction never worked. she likes the birds more than the other attachments, I think because it is more pleasurable to sink her teeth into that mass than the light feathers. very happy with this toy! ... show more

My cat LOVES this toy. I got him this and an expensive mouse toy that rockets around on its own for him to chase. He doesn’t give a crap about the mouse toy. I’ve only tested out two attachments so far, a small feather one and one of the birds. The bird is what really sold my cat on this toy. He wore himself out (a truly unexpected feat) playing with it. He’d catch the bird and gnaw on it for awhile, which I’d have to watch for, because the feathers and other attachments came off and I didn’t want him eating them. Now, this toy isn’t without problems (other than the feathers coming off). The bird attachments are much heavier, causing the pole to bend low and straining where it is connected to the base. The part that screws into the base already isn’t super secure because the metal is soft and it has a very short thread. Add in all the pressure and pulling on the pole from my cat attacking it, and it stripped the screw. See image for the comparison between the unused screw and the used one. That wear is from one week of very enthusiastic play. I’ve put the new screw in and duct-taped all around the base in the hopes that it will shore it up and prevent it from moving and stripping the new screw. I’ve also banned the use of the bird attachments to put less weight/strain on the pole. It’s looking like I may also need to put duct tape where the thinner, wirey part of the pole meets with the thicker part. My cat’s aggressive attacks have loosened/bent it to where it just always leans now. I’ll duct tape that part and when it finally dies, I’ll replace it with the extra pole. If push comes to shove I will super glue this thing together in all the weak points. I will say that sticky base STICKS! I’ve been impressed with how it hasn’t budged at all. I thought it would move around after a bit, but it has held strong so far. All in all, I would definitely recommend this toy. But be prepared to likely need to superglue the thing together after awhile. ... show more

    • Almost the best thing I've ever bought

The concept is phenomenal. But my 4month old kitten broke it within 30 minutes and by broke it...I mean there's a "metal" piece that screws into the base and he somehow snapped it. It's okay because I got an extra mental twisty thing so after some thinking power I was able to get the little nub the unscrew and replace it. But he hasn't stopped playing with it since I opened it (about 90 minutes now). It comes with extra clip feather parts and and they clip onto my cat tree nicely so that was a bonus. BUT IF YOU ARE UNAWARE THIS IS NOT JUST A SUCTION CUP it is "sticky" but I don't think it's the leave a residue kinda sticky but just be warned. It stays where ever I put it so it's nice but if you don't want something to get ruined (or peel paint) I probably would consider something else. ... show more

This was my 2 kittens favorite toy. They played with it for hours! Unfortunately I had to unstick it and tried to relocate it and now it won’t resuction to the floor and they can’t enjoy it. Had to have to repurchase as it is a design flaw.
