  • This is a Rock Star, work horse, straight stitch machine!
After many years my little old sewing machine just didn’t do the job when I started learning to quilt, this dream machine is everything it’s advertised to be! It’s fast, precise and folks, if you have never used the knee lifter before you are in for such excitement!! Knee lifter, automatic thread cutter… extension table… how did I sew without them? It’s well worth the price, so if it’s your dream machine, go for it! It is heavy, but made to last a lifetime. ... show more

  • Great Sewing Machine
I am new to quilting and after many machine reviews I decided on the Juki. Great decision. Machine is fast, however it has a speed setting which is great. Not sure how I made it without the auto thread cutter or the pressure foot lifter! Great features! I was not sure when I bought this about it only being a straight stitch, however it is the main stitch I use. Anything else I can do on the Singer. Machine is very quite and well built. Heavy enough that it does not slide around like my Singer does. Very happy with the purchase. Only con is the different pressure feet need to be bought separately to fit Juki. A little pricey. As I said I new to this and so far have not determined if after market will work. ... show more

  • Love this machine.
This machine is awesome! I’m a beginner in sewing and this machine has made it so easy to learn. I started on a $99.00 Singer that is 10 years old, but still new which was ok, but the juki makes it so much easier. It was recommended by my sister who is a master quilter. If your deciding on a sewing machine, you can’t go wrong with this Juki. ... show more

  • We’ll worth the money!
I’m so happy with my machine. I’d been researching machines and am perfectly happy with this machine. So easy to control an adjust speed. Bobbins wind easily and evenly. Threading the machine is a little tricky but there are instructions and plenty of YouTube video demonstrations. Actually threading the needle is the hardest part, but I don’t mind because the machine is so nice to use. I also purchased a 1/4 inch foot and can sew quickly and accurately. ... show more

  • This machine is a workhorse! It is sturdy and does the job!
So far, I love this Juki sewing machine. I used to have a less expensive sewing machine with lots of bells and whistles, but this one, is a straight forward, hard working machine. I do find it hard to use the automatic threader option and learning how to wind the bobbin has been tricky too, but I have only done it once or twice, so I am sure there is a learning curve. I have watched videos which help, but still it is a work in progress. Once threaded, this machine is far and away superior to every other machine I have used. It sounds smooth and its parts are sturdy and legit! I adore the thread cutter and assume it will save me lots of thread in the long run. I do miss having a zig sag stitch, but I knew that going in. So far, other than being a bit tricky to set up, once done, it is a dream. ... show more

  • Love this machine
It takes a bit of time to get used to the foot pedal with the “scissors” in the heel, but once you get the knack of it, the thigh lift and heel activated scissors make sewing with this machine so efficient. It sews beautifully and I like that you can service it yourself.

  • This machine is a workhorse and is fantastic.
I absolutely love this machine it my second machine my other is an embroidery machine. I only discovered quilting in April last year and have moved on to needed a sturdy machine. This fits the bill perfectly. I am moving on to making bags... this is perfect for that projects.. although a straight stich only its worth every penny.... get it you will not regret it.... ... show more

  • I must have got a lemon!
I loved this machine, everything about it was right for me. I’m an experienced quilter and have been sewing for over 30 years. I can wear a hobby machine out in short order. So the Juki seemed like a smart purchase. However, it would not hold tension. The tension would be fine and would see normal, then all of a sudden start spitting out nests of thread on the underside, then go back to regular stitching. It was maddening! I tried watching every YouTube video on juki, became a “juki junkie” did all the troubleshooting, rewound bobbins, sprung springs, changed needles etc etc. to no avail. The problem persisted despite almost 30 days of trying to remedy it So I sent it back. I don’t know if I should try to purchase another or not? Did I get a lemon or am I not compatible with a juki? ... show more
