  • Easy to set up and manage
We tried to use the chargepoint home but the plug was too short and had the wire coming at the wrong direction (up) for the outlet we had. Compared to setting that one up this was easy. I also like that this one can be locked in place but easily dismounted if you are going away or are concerned about it getting hit. Shortly after installing this we needed a dumpster put in the driveway and it to me less than a minute to disconnect and safely store this. As far as charging power goes it is quick and easy. Charges up my kona ev as fast as I would expect. The only downside for me is the indicator leds are hard dlto discern in the sunlight. The white (everything is ok) has a tint of purple (not connected to the internet). Also just to be clear it works offline fine you just can't track it in the app. ... show more

  • Horrible experience with JuiceBox
I bought this product for its smart, wi-fi features, app, and ability to schedule at off peak times to save money. It worked well for about 40 days, and then suddenly stopped. The app froze and stopped working stating its smart charging features were "disabled" and the unit was offline. I called customer service and they informed me they were able to access my Juicebox unit remotely, and that they would remedy the problem within 24 hours. Of course this did not happen, at the next contact they informed me they were trying "migrate" information from apparently from older software to a more recent one? Even though my model was brand new? I started contacting them each day for a week and they told me they had "escalated' the issue to the a higher level team. I then inquired about a replacement or refund, but heard nothing more? At this point, I stopped inquiring to see if they would ever follow up? They did not, and never actually done so even though several weeks have passed. Once the unit smart charging features stopped working, it would still charge when you plugged it in but at a much lower rate, which took 5 times as long and because I could not schedule the charging time... I had to charge at more expensive times. This defeated the whole purpose of buying the product. Luckily, I contacted Amazon and after listening to my story they allowed me to return it for a refund. Now that is customer service I wish I would have received from Juicebox. I ended up buying a ChargePoint HomeFlex charger and it has been working really well. ... show more

  • Priced Just Right and works great!!
Bought this for at home charging of my EV. Literally it’s like two screws in the wall to install. We had to call tech support to connect it to wifi as the app kept crashing during install but other then that minor hiccup it works great. I’ve had it 2 months and have had zero issues. I love the longer cord and the wire easily fits under the garage door. It’s sturdy and doesn’t get damaged by it closing on it when car is charged outside the house. The app is easy to use and set timer and charging times. The cord is not easily hung neatly so after a week of trying to roll it nicely I just do two big loops and call it a day!   • Install outlet below Juicebox, if charger doesn't stay holstered, call customer service
I got the plug-in version of Juicebox, and it was easy to install on the wall. I had two issues: 1) I had arranged for the outlet to be installed prior to the Juicebox arriving, and when the Juicebox arrived the cord did not reach the outlet (which was directly above the Juicbox, see 1st photo, I know it looks like it reaches, but its like an inch or two short and you have to put a lot of stress on the cord to get it that close). This required me to call the electricians back and have them reroute the outlet to below the Juicebox, which ended up being an added expense. I talked to the customer service folks and they stated that UL required them to keep the cord a certain length, and that it used to be longer, so its not something they can help it appears. For what its worth, it would probably benefit from a future redesign where the cord can come out of the center of the box rather than the bottom, to ensure maximum capability to reach an outlet nearby, regardless of its location. 2) The "gun" part of the charger doesn't stay in the "holster". There's a small rectangular hole in the top of the "holster" for a hook on the "gun" to clip into (see 2nd photo). But on the charger I received the hook didn't fall into that hole (hard to see, but see 3rd photo). As such, if you brushed up against the charger it would fall out. I contacted customer service, and they stated this was a known problem and they are sending me out a new plastic backing that I can put on the charger that will fix the problem. Suprised that the production has been discontinued in the U.S. The online application is questionable in the future. I loved the application when purchase and was shocked when the company decided to stop production in the U.S. leaving the future of using online controls up in the air. BE AWARE!
