Get it wet and POP...PUFF a nice sponge immediately appears. Keeps its new shape & texture & doesn't become dry & hard like it came and works as good or better than any other basic sponge. I decided to order these because I have been unable to find plain sponges in any of the grocery stores I shop infor the last several months. They work very well plus I am able to change them more often. The problem I encountered was when I use the blue or pink one the color comes out.
