Last year we bought these Joydeco blackout curtains for three bedrooms; one room has navy blue and the other two rooms have light beige. The navy curtains are excellent at blocking out light and heat or cold. Even the light beige ones keep our bedrooms fairly dark and the temperature comfortable. In the middle of a lengthy heat wave this summer, we decided to purchase more of the light beige curtains for our family room, which gets sun in the back of the house in the morning, and in the front of the house in the afternoon, putting extra demand on our central air conditioning unit. At night we slide all of the panels closed (easy to do with the grommet tops) and open and close them during the day, depending on the sun's location. The very first morning after we put these curtains up, there was a noticeable difference in our family room temperature. Hopefully our electric bill will reflect this extra form of insulation against the heat! Have been very pleased with the look, feel, and functionality of these curtains, both this year and last. I purchased this brand back in 2020 for the first time, in black. They were so good that I decided to order this Tan hue. I was a little hesitant because of how light it was. But, I must say it was 100% worth taking the chance. It still blocked the sun out just as good as the black curtains. Also, the temperature in my house has dropped dramatically with these curtains. I’m not sure if this complaint is valid but it’s worth mentioning— I ordered greyish white. What arrived were cool-hue super light almost white panels. But even as white it was not true white. However when looking at the label it says white (which I didn’t order). So is this a product, listing, or picking issue? Not sure but I’ve shared photos in case you’re not sure which color to order. Off-white (per label) was the perfect linen textured color for my room painted in S-W Shoji White with medium gray bedding. Looks amazing! White (or greyish white as ordered) did not fit my style or color combo. Too smooth, modern and cool. As for the product being blackout, A+! This is not easy to do with light colored fabrics so I am very pleased with the texture, weight and light blocking. ... show more

I would pay any price for a good night's sleep and that is exactly what I got with Joydeco Blackout Curtains. They are insulated so my room stays cooler during the hot days and absolutely no light gets in at night. I slept better after putting these up than I have in years. Even my dogs who typically wake up when the sun begins to come up, slept in until I got out of bed at 9. I love the deep blue color and it's the perfect length for my bedroom windows. The material is thick and wrinkle-free so even though I pulled them out of the package, they were not in the least bit wrinkled. I am very happy with my purchase. The curtains block a lot of light, and were half the price of the curtains I saw in stores. The material has a nice weight to it and it's not too shiny. I got the 96" length so I can hem them to the right length for my windows. Would recommend!

Perfect for blocking out any light from the outside. I went from 6 hours of sleep to 10. They're pretty light-weight and can be hung on tension rods easily. Light can peek from all 4 sides (but this depends on installation). I put them in the washer/dryer on delicate mode and they came out fine. I'm using these on the west side of our 3 season room to hopefully block some of the intense afternoon heat. Of course, the room is aluminum so cooling it might be a stretch. However, the family agrees these are helping with the heat. I purchased more for the east side but don't have them yet. I purchased dark gray & they are beautiful.
