  • This is easy.
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
The light weight wheelchair is easy to use and drive around in tight spaces.

  • Good secondary wheelchair
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
This is a good "second" powered wheelchair, but not ideal as a primary. The emphasis here is that it is relatively lightweight and portable while still maintaining enough functionality to be useful. It's particularly nice for things like grocery shopping or a doctor visit where you will mainly be using it indoors on flat, even surfaces for a short time, and the biggest obstacle is a well maintained parking lot. It is not really meant for heavy outdoor use or long trips. This is also reflected in the battery life; in order to make this chair portable, the battery has to be pretty small, so it's not something you'll be able to use all day without restarting several times. So is it worth it? If you have the money to spare and would like a second chair that is easy to take around for light duty use while running errands and such, this is a very nice chair! But if you are on a budget and need something that can be used all day on a variety of terrain, you will definitely want to invest in a more robust chair that has less emphasis on portability. ... show more

This chair is just what was told about in their ad. I can lift it to put it in my car trunk. I took it to the grocery store for the first time using it. It worked really well. I could turn it around in the isle with no problem. It does turn on a dime. I am no longer going to have to worry if there will be a store chair for me to use. It is worth what I Paid for it. It was very comterful to ride in also. ... show more

product nonfunctioning, had to return it

  • Weeee! Let's Go!
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
I am so thrilled to have this chair for my 86 year old mom who has Parkinson's and severe arthritis. My once beautiful, vibrant and active mom keeps falling due to her weak muscles from Parkinson's. While she can stand and walk a few steps she has relied on me to push her in a lite transporter chair when we go to Walgreens, Kohl's, clothes shopping or anywhere there isn't an electric chair provided (i.e. Kroger, Meijer's, Walmart). I'm 63 so I'm no spring chicken so taking care of mom is getting harder. Along comes this excellent, portable, electric chair! It was a snap to assemble. Instructions for use are easy to comprehend. It was easy to charge up the battery. It's a little heavy for me to lift into the trunk but it most certainly is doable. I'm used to lifting her 17lb Transporter chair so the extra weight and material on this one take a bit getting used to. The chairs rolls smoothly. The back wheels are large enough to go over much terrain but the smaller front wheels can get you stuck in certain spots but you just need to learn how to maneuver such as coming at bumps from an angle. There are safety feature such as a strap to hold patient in place. The foot-rests are adequate. The seat is comfortable. The arms are a bit short but long enough to rest on. You can move the levers on the wheels back when not using the battery so you can push the patient manually. The chair is small but what do you expect if you want it to be light-weight? Small or not my mom sat comfortably in it with her jacket on. I'm 5'10" and not chubby and fit in it just fine. The joy-stick is easy to use. Sometimes I have to press the start button a bit firm to turn it on. Overall this is a fully portable electric chair that gives mobility and independence where once you had to depend on others. ... show more

  • good and bad points..
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
I think that $3000 is very expensive for what you get.. Price is definitely a downfall.. Especially with the lack of replaceable parts if they break.. I took the battery pack off to see what it was, and to see how much a replacement pack would cost.. I could not find a replacement battery pack anywhere.. So what happens when it goes bad?? There goes 3 grand down the drain.. I did find a few glitches.. When we went to turn it on, about once out of every 10 to 15 times, it would not fully turn on.. You hit the power button, and it would beep.. and the battery indicator light would only go up to 1 bar.. I simply turned the power off and then back on and it would work with no problem.. The chair was taken on about a 2.5 mile round trip to see how it would hold up.. I found that on uneven pavement, that had 90 degree bumps, this chair hung up on anything much over 1" high bumps.. Now if the bump was at say, a 45 degree angle, it was more forgiving.. So if out in the city, this is something to take into consideration.. In places like malls and stores, not a problem.. Before the trip was taken, the chair was fully charged.. When we got back, I checked the meter to see how much power was left in the battery.. It was down 2 bars, or used about 40% of the battery charge.. This makes me question their 9.3 mile rating that they give.. I would guess that it is probably more reliable at around 6 miles (maybe 7 at most), not 9.3.. It was very easy to put together and get up and using.. No complaints here.. It is really light, which is nice too.. Just about anyone can pick it up, from the young to the elderly.. Very compact makes it very easy to store or load.. Good job here.. You have to be very small to be comfortable in this.. I have a 4" high roho air cushion here, and we put one of them on this.. With it on there, it was decently comfortable to use.. Still felt a little squished, but it was not too bad.. Without the cushion, it was very uncomfortable to sit on.. and that coming from someone that is only 5'2".. The cushion that they give you has no real padding.. It is more for decoration to make it look nice than anything.. Basically, a seat cover that you can take off when it gets dirty to wash. Expect nothing from it.. When using it, I did notice a few times that it seemed to hesitate for no reason.. But then started working fine after that.. It was almost like a slight loss of battery power for a second, and then back to normal.. Not sure what to make of it. I tested the speed using an app on my phone.. It said that, at max speed, on a flat level surface, that it went 6km an hour.. Obviously going down hill will be faster, and uphill will be slower.. ADA is 1" per foot.. I think the steepest that we used it at was about 1.3" incline per foot.. It had the power to get up that with no problem.. Power uphill was no an issue. Final thoughts.. It was decent in power, easy to fold up and transport, easy to store, not too bad in comfort if you put a thick cushion on it, very uncomfortable without one.. I don't like that you can not find a replacement battery, and I think the price is way too high for what it is.. Would I recommend it.. Not at this price.. If they dropped the price down a LOT, and added a second battery, then maybe.. But definitely not as things are right now. ... show more

  • Light, portable
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
I saw another review indicating that this was too small for a person who was larger, but took a chance and got it for a 6 foot, 195 pound male. It works fine and is suitable in size, the battery life is good, and it is absolutely portable and can be carried on a plane. This doesn’t have enough juice for a day at Disney World, but it does work to get around the trailer park or go get the mail, or go to the pool for some physical therapy. It appears to be durable, and has no defects in the first week of use. Easy enough for two 75-year-olds to build without assistance. ... show more
