I love these crickets I have two white tree frogs and they love them to I highly recommend. My frogs have been healthy and happier they jump around more and hide less now. My only problem is my last batch of crickets died faster then I could use them. But that has been a one time thing. The amount of money yo the quality of the cricket is great and they don't give off any oder. Plus they come with one or to peces of carrot to feed the crickets. Crickets were all alive when I received them and are still doing well, but they make absolutely no sound which is odd. The last batch I got chirped nonstop lol Only giving them a 3 because they’re small and no where near the size of the ones I ordered last time. Barely big enough for my tarantula to eat ... show more

    • Healthy, great deal for quality, but...

First online cricket purchase, and wow these guys are heathy and strong compared to the half-dead crickets from the pet stores. However, they have caused me some problems, and I am seriously considering releasing them to the back yard tomorrow. They all survived the trip, but beware you will loose some when you open the box. Open it outside! I tried to squeeze them into our large cricket keeper, but it is not large enough. I was able to transfer all but the 20 or so who escaped, but I had to take out all but one of the egg cartons eventually to get the tubes in the cricket keeper (and lost about 10 more to the yard). They are so healthy and active that our juvie beardies can hardly catch them, and they hide in their logs, etc. and the beardies don't get them all. I spent over an hour tonight trying to find the ones hiding so my son could sleep without chirping, and I feared the crickets would bite Spike while he was sleeping. One jumped so high he escaped out of the 40 gallon tank...another 30 min trying to find it in the bedroom. That being said, our beardies are used to eating roaches out a bowl or store bought crickets...So, if you want amazing bionic crickets, Josh Frogs are your guys. Update: Released them to the back yard and have since found 3 in my house that somehow survived weeks...the nightly cricket chirping from outside has sure gotten louder! ... show more

    • WARNING a little TOO HEALTHY
Size: 500 Count (Pack of 1)
So it seemed like a high survivability rate even though they were shipped from east coast to West Coast in warm weather. I say these are a little too healthy because they jump extra high and are very evasive. This means they're more likely to outrun your reptile and hide and die somewhere unless you feed your reptile in a controlled empty chamber like I do. For me this creates more work, they're very much like wild crickets. Pet store crickets I get I can put into a small cup and majority won't even jump out. The crickets I received can jump almost a foot straight up. So very healthy but difficult to feed your reptiles if they're larger. These are better for smaller reptiles and young bearded dragons that have the speed and need to get used to chasing food. ... show more
