It’s fantastic! My only complaint is my own clumsiness. I dropped the torch and bent the knob that lets you control gas flow. Unfortunately for me, my time is done with the torch. I’d definitely get it again!!

This product has a nice weight to it and is easy to use. However, I had trouble filling the tank with the butane. It acted like the pin hole in the bottom was not operating properly. I followed the instructions which are very easy to follow, but the fuel just ran outside of the torch instead of going inside the tank. I contacted customer service at JoChef and they responded THE SAME DAY. Unheard of, I know. The customer rep responded to my concerns, even sent me a video in case I was doing something wrong. Unfortunately, the issue just wasn't correcting itself. The company sent me a new torch and a can of fuel to make things right. I'm happy to report the replacement is working perfectly. Thank you to customer service for responding so quickly and for standing behind your product and wanting to make this customer happy. ... show more

My favorite dessert is creme brulee - how can you NOT enjoy preparing a dessert that involves using a blowtorch? - and this set is perfect for it. It gives a big enough and strong enough flame for large ramekins, but also works with smaller cups. It is very easy to load and use.

The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love my new butane torch! It's made preparing sushi at home so much easier and more fun. The adjustable flame is perfect for lightly searing the sushi rolls, giving them that restaurant-quality finish. Plus, it's easy to refill and feels very durable in hand. Great price. Easy to purchase. Easy to set up with included fuel and instructions. Safety on/off switch to disengage the starter. Looks sharp. Flame goes from a candle to a blow torch with the simple twist of the knob on the back. I got this to burn off the wisps on my PLA 3-D prints. It works great for that purpose. Just wave the torch near the piece and the wisps burn off in a second. Much better than the click-stick I was using. ... show more

this is a good torch. substantial feel to it and a larger base to support it. the lock is a great feature, love that I can lock it & unlock it while holding it without fumbling. the knob on the back turns easily to adjust the flame. two small issues I've found but can work with them. 1. the flame adjustment knob is also how you turn off the torch. 2. when filling it with the butane it allows butane to leak out around the fill tip. followed directions to the letter to fill it & no matter what I did it would leak during filling. otherwise it's a good torch with a steady base. UPDATE: after trying to fill the torch again, the leak of butane was worse than the first time & when I gave up I could hear a hiss coming from the fill stem. I reached out to the company by email they responded in less than 24 hours. sent me a you tube link to view and see if I was possibly doing something wrong & stated they will take care of the issue confirming that customer service is a top priority. I was also told that if there was still a problem they would happily send me a new torch. my husband & I went to try again while following the video (which I had been doing it correctly all along) we even filled a lighter to insure the butane cans were not faulty. they were not. Bottom line let customer service know nothing worked, so they sent out a new torch right away. it arrived overnight! haven't tried the new torch yet will do that tomorrow. Another great thing I communicated with the same person from start to finish. Unlike so many companies that you reach out to & you end up with communication from sometimes multiple different people. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TORCH WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS THE TORCH FOR YOU! ... show more

Works great. Flame is strong and it’s easy to use. Filling it could be better. It warns you in all caps NOT to overfill, but that is VERY easy to do. Just be mindful while filling with the butane.
