While this worked great for the first two refills, on the third refill, I must have done something wrong...over filled it? But after that, it wouldn't work. However, a cheaper option I had purchased as a compare/contrast has constantly worked despite my refills....so I'm not sure if this is user error or product default, but I will replace it with the other option. Update: Was impressed the company contacted me with my concerns. Rather than ask for a refund, I'm asking for a replacement....will update the review as I use this once I receive it... ... show more

this is a good torch. substantial feel to it and a larger base to support it. the lock is a great feature, love that I can lock it & unlock it while holding it without fumbling. the knob on the back turns easily to adjust the flame. two small issues I've found but can work with them. 1. the flame adjustment knob is also how you turn off the torch. 2. when filling it with the butane it allows butane to leak out around the fill tip. followed directions to the letter to fill it & no matter what I did it would leak during filling. otherwise it's a good torch with a steady base. UPDATE: after trying to fill the torch again, the leak of butane was worse than the first time & when I gave up I could hear a hiss coming from the fill stem. I reached out to the company by email they responded in less than 24 hours. sent me a you tube link to view and see if I was possibly doing something wrong & stated they will take care of the issue confirming that customer service is a top priority. I was also told that if there was still a problem they would happily send me a new torch. my husband & I went to try again while following the video (which I had been doing it correctly all along) we even filled a lighter to insure the butane cans were not faulty. they were not. Bottom line let customer service know nothing worked, so they sent out a new torch right away. it arrived overnight! haven't tried the new torch yet will do that tomorrow. Another great thing I communicated with the same person from start to finish. Unlike so many companies that you reach out to & you end up with communication from sometimes multiple different people. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TORCH WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS THE TORCH FOR YOU! ... show more

I recently bought a Blackstone Griddle but wanted the burnt taste of a grill. This little cooking torch works great. It was easy to fill with the included butane cans and I love the adjustable flame feature. I cooked steaks last night and burned the fatty sides and top of the steak. OMG, they tasted like grilled steaks at a restaurant. When my steak cooled down while eating, I blasted it with this torch to heat it back up. My wife thought that was dangerous, but I thought it was useful. I love this little torch. I'll update this review when I use it for future cooking. I'm gonna try pork chops next. ... show more

Cooking and lighting the fire pit. Had problem with the first unit (bad valve), but the Jo Chef team (Cerine) took care of it right away and I had a new unit two days. New unit works perfectly and Jo Chef followed up to make sure they made everything right. Great customer service.

It’s fantastic! My only complaint is my own clumsiness. I dropped the torch and bent the knob that lets you control gas flow. Unfortunately for me, my time is done with the torch. I’d definitely get it again!!

Works great. Flame is strong and it’s easy to use. Filling it could be better. It warns you in all caps NOT to overfill, but that is VERY easy to do. Just be mindful while filling with the butane.
