  • This did not fit my 10-18 IS STM lens
Color: Replaces Canon EW-53B
This did not fit my 10-18 IS STM lens, but, it did fit my original kit lens the 15-45 3.5-6.3 IS STM. And it fits perfectly on that lens. So I am stoked to have it.

  • I figured it out...
Color: Replaces Canon EW-53
This is a really nice high quality lens hood. I realize it's plastic but that makes it very light and inexpensive. There is one problem with it and that is it does not come with any instructions on how to install it but I figured it out... On the side of the lens hood you will find a small red I/O symbol. If you face it upwards the hood will fit over the tabs on the lens and then you need only turn it one full quarter turn clockwise until the white JJC logo appears on top. If your lens hood is falling off you are not installing it correctly. It must fit over the tabs and be turned one full quarter turn clockwise. It does feel a little tight at first but once you figure it out it goes on quite easily. If you have to I would suggest taking some very fine sandpaper and clean up the inner surface a little bit if it's simply won't fit. I hope this helps a little. ... show more

  • Works fine
Color: Replaces Canon EW-53
I put it on my canon m50 with the kit lens and it worked fine, takes a bit of twisting but it’s good.

  • Good enough for price
Color: Replaces Canon ET-60B
I’ve used other JJC lens hoods on other Canon lenses. This one works the same and does the job at a much lower cost than Canon’s. They don’t go on or off as smoothly the OEM hoods, but they work fine. I don’t understand the people who have trouble fitting it on. A minute of fiddling will solve the mystery. If not: It’s a bayonet-type mount. Rotate it until it drops in, then rotate clockwise (looking from front) until it stops. Reverse to remove. I never bother looking for marks or dots — I just rotate until it drops in. It fits the same way in reversed position for storage. The fit is rougher than OEM, so maybe that’s part of the initial problem. ... show more

  • A well-made product
Color: Replaces Canon ET-60B
This is a well-made product at a fraction of the price of the Canon piece. This is my second lens hood from this maker.

  • Excellent Third Party Lens Hood
Color: Replaces Canon EW-55
Typically, I only buy genuine Canon accessories, but for this particular hood, Canon wants something insane like $55. I can confirm that the all-metal hood works and looks almost identical to the $55 Canon version, for a mere fraction of the price. The lens hood prevents stray light, it protects from objects hitting the lens as well, and personally, I think it makes the pancake lens look better. Without it the lens looks silly, thus this is an accessory I consider a must-have for the awesome Canon 28mm RF f/2.8 lens. The screw-on hood (which does not click on like most hoods) never leaves my 28mm Canon RF f/2.8, and the lens and hood never leave my Canon full-frame B-Cam! ... show more

  • Fits my kit 55-210mm lens perfectly.
Color: Replaces Canon ET-60B
Very simple little cover. It goes over the front filter of my zoom lens. I dont see it in the images at all, like you get if you use the wrong length lens, and I really like how it protects the lens. I like to walk through woods and tall grass. This adds that little extra bit of protection. I am now going to get one for every lens I own. ... show more
