This curtain does block out enough light. The color taupe was as shown and was glad that it was the same color on both sides. The attached ties is convenient. Was happy to find this size 70x63 so I could buy just one pair. The length was perfect to clear right above the outlet. I was not happy that it had a lot of wrinkles.
