Description

Here are the step-by-step instructions for installing the Garage Door Bottom Weather Stripping Rubber Seal with T-Ends:[1] Start by removing any old weatherstripping or sealant from the bottom of your garage door.[2] Identify the grooves in your garage door track where the T-ends of the seal strip will fit.[3] Starting from one end of the door, insert the T-ends of the seal strip into the grooves of the garage door track.[4] Carefully slide the seal strip along the track until you reach the other end of the door. • Good quality lower seal
Size: 10 Feet
I purchased the 10 Ft seal to replace an old & damage one. The seal comes rolled up, its best to unroll & let it sit in the sun for lil while if possible. The rubber looks to be good quality, its feels sturdy & its easy to cut. It comes with simple instructions. To make the install easy & quick, be sure track is clean & be sure its not bent or damaged. I used soapy water spray bottle to lube the track at the bottom of garage door. To make it even easier, its best to have a 2nd sets of hands. One to feed it on the end & the other to pull it thru. I left approximately 1 inch longer than the door on each side. That will change depending on your door set up. Also, you may have to adjust you door closing limit if necessary due to new seal requires a lil more space at the bottom. (old one was flat & damaged) This sealed up the lower end gaps very nicely ... show more

  • Perfect fit and working great!
Size: 16 Feet
Worked great for our garage simple to install and trim off extra. I installed it myself and took about an hour to install. Couple tips I can give you : I prefer using JB Blast lubricant, and sprayed the track as I went and had no issues. 2nd keep your garage door at a height that you can slide your new seal in instead of reaching above your head trying to slide it through. If you don’t use any type of lubricant, you’re going to have a really hard time sliding it through. After applying the lubricant I would slide as much as could from the end that I started then walk to the end of the seal and pull it as far as I could. Spray again a couple feet go to where you started and feed some more down the track then again walk to the other side and pull. Keep doing this until you reach the end. Worked for me doing it this way and again only took me about an hour for a 16 foot garage door. I had about 4” of extra material that I cut off. Hope this help you out! ... show more

  • Tough to pull and may rip
Size: 20FT
The product is much better than what I had. However as I was pulling it through with help the rubber T at the top ripped which made it impossible to pull through. The idea of using soap or WD 40 helped. However the best thing I found was using my finger to make it super tight where it goes into the garage door. ... show more

  • Great Door seal. Here's a tip for install
Size: 16 Feet
Product is sturdy and well made. Arrived in perfect condition. Several other reviews complained of difficulty installing the product. There were comments a second person would be helpful. I can't dispute that. What really helped having done this myself, is described below. This rubber strip is bent or curled around the inner tube to create a U with the tube on the inside. At the tip ends of the flat rubber U created by curling around are small T shapes. The T holds the rubber in place. The T shape runs the length of the rubber. The T slides into 2 separate grooves or channels on a metal strip which runs along the bottom of the garage door from end to end. Youtube videos said to spray lubricant into the channels through which the rubber T slides. I did that generously. So, one starts the Ts into one end of both channels simultaneously and one continues to feed one end in and pull a little on what you've already fed in. Repeat. Nevertheless, as I fed more rubber through the more difficult it became-quite difficult. It was tedious moving an inch at a time. Fear not. Finally, I decided to try as I worked to continue feeding into the channels to stop and wipe the spray lubricant with my fingers up and down along and on the bottom and top of T about a foot at a time prior as I prepared to push the rubber into the channels. It greatly facilitated the remainder of the install. Game changer. I used Seafoam lubricant. WD-40 or anything similar should work. Hope it helps. I am quite pleased with the product. Great price and quality. Local garage door outfit wanted $50.00 for a product without the inner tube which provides an effective bolster to the seal. ... show more

  • Super easy and very happy.
Size: 16 Feet
Remove old piece, clean the track, a spray or two of WD40, new piece slipped right in to position. The entire removal and install was about a hour. Oh and I am a 67 year old woman. The hardest part was getting the garage door opener to stop the door at a convenient height. Very pleased and highly recommend. ... show more

  • Works great
Size: 10 Feet
I bought this for the bottom of my 10' garage door. Just make sure you lubricate the track so the rubber slides smoothly.
