I saw an ad for a similar product on X, so I searched Amazon. The price I found seemed reasonable, so I took a chance. Prep is key. Clean the surface well with degreaser/cleaner and dry. Heat definitely helps if it's not sticking at first. One door, it stuck fine on the first application. I went down again to pressing firmly on the adhesive side to make sure it stayed on. The second door took a bit more work. It didn't stick at first, so I tried a heat gun on the door to warm it up, then on the strip to help activate the adhesive better. That did the trick. It's been several weeks and it has stayed on very well. It definitely helps cut down any draft. ... show more

This was so easy to install. It was narrow enough on the sticky part that it fit by my smart lock deadbolt and door knob without having to modify. I have French doors that both sides open. It has a draft in the middle regardless of what weather stripping I use. I could tell an immediate improvement once installed. It seems to attach securely. Time will tell. Bought this for my front and back door, the adhesive is as sticky as I'd like, I installed on the front door and it started to fall down 2 days after. To help hold it in place I had to put push pins in the corners. I prepped the door prior to install by washing the edge of the door with water and soap and dried it off the used rubbing alcohol to dry out and material under where the adhesive would sit. I also sanded the paint alittle to make sure it would adhere to a rough surface vs a smooth surface. ... show more

3M door seal- You would think, a company that specializes in adhesive and tape would make a product where the intended pull off tape would come off easily. It took me 20 minutes to peel off a simple 8 foot strip because the tape shredded every quarter of an inch. It was impossible to get all of the paper adhesive off. The product is very easy to work with. I have a dog door insert on a sliding glass door which leaves a gap. Cold air and moisture comes in. I put this air gap on the outside and inside. The adhesion is great. 3M. Once it's in place you should not try to reposition it. This product is silicone so it should be good to weather exposure. Perfect size, fit, and durable. ... show more
