  • Nice!
Style: Oil
We haven't played since early 2019. My bass was left in a damp basement since then. When we finally got together 2 weeks ago, the fretboard was covered with MOLD! The fretboard and the strings were sticky. I gave this a shot to clean up the fretboard. One application, and it looked brand new! Cleaned it up in short order. I was also surprised when I removed the cap. It has a "wool" applicator, like a shoe polish bottle. Application was super easy. Apply it, let it sit, and then rub it in with a soft cloth. I thought I was going to have to take some Murphy's Oil Soap to it. Not needed! This cleaned it right up! I don't even think I used 1/2 ounce to get the job done. And, I mean, the fretboard was GREEN! Amazing! ... show more

  • I don't know...
Style: Oil
I'm not sold on this product just yet. I just used it on 3 guitars that I've had for about 15 year that badly needed it. I thought lemon oil was supposed to break up dirt and grim on the fretboard so it would wipe off after a short soak. This didn't do that... At all! Sure, the fretboard look nice and smell nice but the fact that it doesn't make cleaning any easier kinda makes me think there's got to be a better product on the market, regardless of price. I'd pay more for a better product if I knew of one. So I guess if you're looking for a cleaner don't buy this. This is only for people who want a good smelling shiny fretboard. And no, this will not polish your frets for you. It's not made for that so don't expect it. ... show more

  • Lemon oil works fine on guitar necks.
Style: Oil
Follow directions and use dabber to cover neck. Works best when changing strings as strings get in the way. First time, I put on two coats on some older guitars with rosewood necks that had never been treated. Use on soft wood necks .

  • Keep on rocking in the free world
Style: Oil
Bought this as well as the string conditioner. Dunlop is well known in the guitar/music world (no relation to dunlop tires, believe it or not). this is easy to use and is de rigeur for protecting the wood on your fretboard. no drips no mess as long as you follow the directions.
