  • Deluxe = Wide seat, stability and adjustability.
Style: Delux Guitar Seat
I got the deluxe and the regular stool with the back rest. The deluxe is definitely worth it. Returned the stool. Stools ok but feels like the seat is small and you sit up high it’s not bad just ok. But the deluxe was really nice. I like the wider seat you feel like it’s more stable than the stool and the adjustability is great. Just make the upgrade you won’t be disappointed. If you need something portable maybe the stool but otherwise just go with the deluxe. Overall the deluxe just feels more stable, comfortable, and more customizable. Also the foot rest on the deluxe is perfect compared to the regular stool. Just overall better and worth the extra price IMHO. Only drawback the seat feels a little stiff but it’s new I expect it to wear in. I still give it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Great guitar stand and seat

Great two in one seat and guitar stand. Great quality. Recommend

  • Well built, seat hard
Style: Guitar Stool
This is a fine chair, sturdier than expected. I like the portability, light weight and for me the footrest is in the perfect spot. (I'm 6 feet tall). The foam covers on the guitar neck holder slip right off and could easily be lost, so you need to glue them on. The seat itself was hard as a rock so I'll need a cushion, but still a good product. ... show more

  • This chair is very good
Style: Guitar Stool
I bought an open box Gator chair and it was in great shape and savedme $20 or so. I will be using it mostly when I play jazz upright bass. It was easy to remove the guitar hanger and thus make it a tad lighter. Although I'm it's light with it on too. It also folds up quite compactly and seems to be quite comfortable. ... show more

  • Solid chair, reasonably comfortable with a nice guitar stand built in
Style: Guitar Seat
I’m just under 6’ and this chair fits me fine. It is really sturdy/solid and I use the built in stand way more than I thought I would. You can’t beat the combination of features for <$100. The purported foot rest is non-existent. If you are under 5’10, you’ll probably need a footstool. Finally, easiest assembly I’ve ever done. Took about 2 minutes nice I had it out of the box. Really pleased with this stool. ... show more

  • Happily surprised; sturdy; comfortable
Style: Guitar Stool
I had a 4 hour gig and did NOT expect this chair to be as good as it was. Seat cushion feels a little harder but honestly, it was exactly what I needed. It's supportive and just soft enough without being cushy. Also, I was nervous with my acoustic guitar in the stand so I would push the chair to see how tippy it was. It was not tippy at all. I really did think it was going to tip over super easily with the weight. Folds up easy (not flat of course but enough to tuck behind the seat in my car just fine). Worth it for the 80 bucks I paid. ... show more

  • Don't yet. Needs much improvement
Style: Guitar Seat
Bought this hoping for perhaps a comfortable, useful, compact stool for playing guitar at live performances. It's hard to know if you're going to like something till you use it a while. This is one of those. If I could send it back I would. But by the time I decided it wasn't that great, the return window closed. Anyway, here's my take on what's wrong with it. 1. Though it folds up, it's not really that compact because the back rest has a big "L" shape bracket that doesn't fold. Really? They couldn't have engineered that? 2. It could use a nice zippered case to put it in. Again, you'd have to make the back rest fold. 3. Seat isn't big enough unless your small. I feel like as though I'm going to fall off at any given moment. And the foam cushion is a little too stiff. 4. Foot rest is too narrow. The pegs need to be able to telescope outward on each side and also adjust up or down. Lastly, the built-in guitar stand gets in the way and is a tripping hazard. This is worse part of it. I took mine off. Also, when you rest your guitar in it, there's no way to secure the neck, so easy to knock over the guitar. I suggest just eliminating it as most of us use proper guitar stands anyway. So there you have it. Keep on looking until Gator gets it right. And when/if they do, then perhaps they'll have a winner. Update: 4-21-24 I decided to install folding motor cycle type foot pegs/rest to this stool. (See photos) This made a big difference in comfort. These foot rest fold-up too, keeping the stool easy to tote. And because they bolt on, you can adjust the position where you like. Only thing I had to do was add some copper pipe shims because the tubing is only ⅞" and you need 1". I also added a self-tapping screw through the clamp side into the tubing, because they had a tendency to turn when you put your foot on. You can get these foot rest here on Amazon. ... show more

  • Heavy-duty (and just heavy, too)
Style: Delux Guitar Seat
As a solo performer, it’s always a crapshoot what kind of seating will be available at bars and other venues. Yes, I’ve been taking our own kitchen stools occasionally, and a few venues have great barstools that I can and do use. But I wanted to get something that was sturdy, well-built, comfortable and would last a long, long time. This is it. After 5-6 months of use at home and on gigs, it’s a comfortable and easy-to-adjust seat, with also-adjustable footrests. Built like a tank, too. But carrying it is not for the faint of heart. I can handle it, but it can be a little clumsy; I do wish the seat could be broken down, or dissembled a bit, to make carrying/loading easier. It sucks up a bit of space in the back of my Explorer, and I’ve learned to live with that, in exchange for the sturdiness and comfort. I like this seat a lot. I’d like it more if it were a bit less bulky and inflexible. ... show more
