I had this ceramic decoration on my wait list for a few years now and am so glad I finally picked it up! The color is beautiful! Nothing garish or boring, the blue is a light almost sage like shade of blue that blends in with my natural tank. A big plus is the glazing on the entire decoration! No chance of snagging fins, tails or my fingers! The smoothness helps the beneficial bacteria cling to the outside and my betta loves it! He is always exploring or simply resting within it. The only thing I could see as a suggested improvement would be for it to be larger. I would love a larger one for my sorority tank but a few of these in that tank will be just fine in my book!     • Very pretty in person and safe for betta fish
I love the color of this little hidey-hole castles, but especially that it's totally smooth and doesn't any sharp/rough edges for my betta fish's fins to get caught in or against. Also has a good amount of in and out entrances. My betta loves it!

Exactly as pictured. I didn’t have to sand down any edges. Looks super cute in my 10G tank and the fish love to swim through it. The holes are plenty big enough for nanofish such as bettas and guppies.

    • Very Beautiful but Beware!
Not suitable for a Betta! The edges are way to sharp for a Betta. Real Betta keepers will understand. It's very beautiful and well made, I have other tanks that it will look very nice in however was hoping it would have worked for my Betta tank. Unless they start filing down the sharp edges they shouldn't advertise it for Bettas. Other fish with thicker scales or even shrimp should be fine just please check the edges before putting it with your Betta. PS Betta fish shouldn't be kept in anything smaller than a 5gallon tank and that at the VERY smallest! ... show more
