The media could not be loaded. i bought these for jewelry making, and sure, they get the job done in its most basic sense. but man do these pliers suck. i just opened these babies up and as soon as they were out of the packaging, i noticed something wrong with the round-nose pliers. for some reason there's some extra metal plating the tips of the prongs and it's already flaking off. the needle-nose pliers don't have any serrated edges, which might be fine for some purposes, but isn't great for me. the prongs of the needle-nose pliers don't completely meet, which is also not great. i haven't actually tried the wire cutters, but i'm sure they'd work on very thin wire, but not much else. lastly, in every pair, some gross grease oozes out of the joint every single time you close the handles. now, this might not be such a bad thing since i'm assuming the grease's purpose is to keep the pliers running smoothly and prevent them from getting stuck. but unfortunately every pair is pretty stiff anyways. so yeah, just save yourself the money and don't buy 'em. ... show more

    • Not for jewelry making !
Don't buy these for jewelry making/repair ! The nose, or the working end of the these pliers, is way too big for the generally small pieces of jewelry chains, pins, rings etc. Worse yet, the pliers tools themselves are made of an inexpensive, poor quality "metal" which makes them ineffective even for larger crafting projects. So don't bother with these. You will find that they just add to junk drawer clutter or get thrown in the trash. ... show more

I saw a few reviews stating they received dirty tools. I was thinking that would be a couple of people here and there but, not mine. Nope! It can happen to you! I haven’t had these for a while 15 minutes yet and I opened them to see dirty tools. Why? How? This makes no sense. I posted pictures of the pink pliers the most because the dirt shows up more there. Trust me, they are all dirty. As for quality, I guess they are a decent starter set. The metal is not smooth and snagged on my cloth as I cleaned them. I’m sure it will scratch up my wire, too. I’m learning wire jewelry techniques so, I’m not too concerned about that part yet. ... show more

Don’t recommend. They get the job done but they aren’t the best quality. Each plier does not open and close SMOOTHLY, they stick and while they do work, it’s annoying. Definitely check out some other options.

    • Small can be good
At first i thought they were small and cheap compared to the ones I already had. I find the small ones are easier to handle jewelry with in some cases. Happy to have them.

Great little beginners set; I don't think advanced jewelers would like these since they're not the best quality, but if you're just trying to fix a couple pieces of broken jewelry (like I was), these will do the trick.

    • Greasy as heck, ends weren't aligned so I couldn't clamp all the way down
Thought these would be a great addition to my jewelry making kit but the set I got was real janky?? I know they have to grease them slightly to make the clamping motion smooth bit these were REALLY greasy, like, all over my hands, stained my clothes, UGH! NO! also ,the fine point set wouldn't close all the way.. maybe I got an already used set but these were just bad quality in my opinion. I went ahead and bought a more well-known brand and it was a world of difference. Maybe if you aren't using them for fine jewelry making and more of in a wood shop / craft for fun type setting they would work but I wouldn't recommend them for work on fine, expensive jewelry. ... show more

My kids are now into making jewelers and I decided to buy this jewelry pliers tools so they won’t fight over the only one we have. Apparently two of the pliers that came with the package sucks…seems like the ones we got are returned and package was open inside a ziplock. Wished I was able to take pictures but since the kids threw the plastic away I can’t anymore. The pliers is uneven and can’t even close any clasp/crimps. As you can see in the pictures, it’s not touching and has gaps. I’m squeezing it has hard as I can and it’s still not touching…the cutter too has a gap. I think this set is a returned item!!! ... show more
