  • Beautiful story about faith and missional community
This book is beautiful. I came across it by accident - popped up as a sponsored item on one of my own books pages - and at just the right time in my life. If you are looking for a great story, or to learn about Jesus, or to launch a missional community (which I in process of doing right now - hence the book popped up at the right time), this book is for you. There were moments that brought tears to my eyes (Malachi's response to Gert and Erin wrecked me). I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy. Can't recommend this highly enough. ... show more

  • Simply, comfortable read
Some nice things about this book are that there are no cuss words, sex(although there is a love interest), or violence. No, contrary to popular belief, you don't need these elements to enjoy a book. Some of the reviewers thought there was too much info about Walmart, but I found it interesting and certainly not distracting at any point. It is definitely Cristian based but was one of the reasons I read it. Te story flows well and the characters are easy to relate to. Nothing complicated here, but it's easy to see ourselves in the story. Hopeful. Just need an easy read to take by our mind off things and relax? This will do it. ... show more

  • Jesus at Walmart
What a wonderful book! I read it in 2 1/2 days, on breaks. A great story of faith, Gods perfect love and redemption, provision , forgiveness, healing….all the things we need right now in this day and time. God is good all the time… all the time God is good!

  • The title says it all
The title of the book actually says it all. The first part of "Jesus at Walmart" is intriguing and made me curious to read beyond the sample chapter I downloaded on my Kindle. As the book goes on it turns more into "..a reed shaking in the wind" and unfortunately goes into "flakey territory" with too much Christianese, which flows mainly through the remainder of the book. I agree with some of the other reviewers, not the best but by far not the worst. And for 99c I still got some enjoyment out of it - not sure what it sells for at Wal-mart... Thanks. ... show more

  • Jesus at Wal-Mart was not what I expected.
I must admit that I didn't expect this book to lead me down the path that it did. Actually it was a good trip showing how life can lead you on divergent paths and how you need a faith and trust that is rooted in a higher power.

  • Great book!
Jesus at Wal-Mart caught me by surprise. At first I thought, "that's a weird title" but I decided to take a look at the sample. The plot and characters were interesting so I purchased the book. (Great price helped too) it was delightful and well written. As a Christian I am encouraged to share Jesus where I am too. The reason I have this book 4 stars instead of give is because I would have liked a little more time spent Malachi and Annie's failed marriage. Malachi seems to have given up and disappeared in an unpredictable way ... show more

  • Thank you
Not at all what I expected. A quick read that re-energized Christians and reviews leading others to Christ in a simple but powerful way.
