  • Flat and Sturdy
Style: Tools
Many years ago, I built my own router table cabinet and top. Recently I checked and the top was no longer flat (a 1/16" or more off), so I got this top to replace the one I had made (I also got a JessEm router lift). I have a Bridge City Toolworks 24" straightedge, I checked the top and it was flat. It came with mounting screws and a Torx wrench (a nice touch) and I easily mounted it onto my existing cabinet. I didn't get the JessEm router table fence, I used my own shop-built fence, so I have no experience with their fence on the table. My fence grips the bottom of the table to lock in position, and it works well with this table. After putting in the JessEm router lift and my Bosch 1617 EVS router, the top is still flat (to better than .004") several weeks later. The table has not sagged. The plate that is part of the JessEm router lift fits well into this table and there are two screws to snug the plate to the top. (I mention their router lift as others may wish to get both a top and lift from the same source.) I'm very happy with the router table top. ... show more

  • Good top but could be better
Style: Tools
I bought the rockler top first, but it didn't work with the JessEm Master-lift-ll. So i had a dillema, send back the JessEm router lift and get a rockler, or vice versa. I went with sending the rockler top back and ordering this JessEm top. It's a nice top but only giving it 4 stars as it doesn't have the guide slots precut into the top to keep your fence straight and you would have multiple choices of fences. Only thing u can do is buy a JessEm fence. So another couple hundred dollars. While i like the fence and will do a review on it, once again the shortcomings are there is no way to know if your fence is lined up straight with this top, so now additional expense with purchasing some sticky tape to add to the table top. I have a feeling JessEm copied the rockler design but could only to a point. If it was the other way around, rockler made a more user friendly top. Also i built my own wooden roll around cabinet to mount this on. It doesn't really provide much in the way of holes on the bottom side to attach it to anything. i found a couple holes that provided me a way with angle brackets to get it done, but not great. It's secure, i'll leave it at that. So i've got a JessEm table top $300, JessEm Master-Lift-ll $441,, JessEm fence $200, JessEm Clear Cut Flex Stock Guides $100, and now have to find a router guage. You guessed it, it doesn't come with that either. So this is going to add another $100 to it. Lotta expense in a router table, you better plan on using it a lot. I do, as i build most of my own components for my bee business. Great products but know going in your going to have $1200+ in the top before the table and router. For what your paying, it could be better. ... show more

  • Well made and price is reasonable since it is made from Phenolic
Style: Tools
This is dead flat . If you have ever price Phenolic you would know you can't buy raw material of the same thickness (3/4) . It is well made . Great substitute for an iron top . Also was boxed well to protect the edges from getting damaged. The top is heavy . Phenolic is dense material.

  • Great product when you get everything that sould be included.
Style: Tools
Everythin about this router table is top notch. I did not, however, receive one part. Apparently this is not uncommon as I have seen several customers say they did not receive everything in the box. Too bad. Fortunately, my missing part was not critical as that would be a hassel. I will contact Jessem support to see if they will sent the missing item. If not I will still be okay with it. ... show more

  • Nice router top - but it was not threaded
Style: Tools
I am in the process of building my own router cabinet on casters and chose this top along with a Jessem Master Fence II and Jessem Master Lift setup. I immediately checked the table upon arrival and found that it was well made, undamaged, and nearly flat. I would say that it is within 1/32" an inch of being flat across the entire surface, both width and lengthwise. Reasonably flat for anything other than cast iron. The problem though: The table is pre-drilled with a variety of hole patterns on the bottom to accept either the Jessem steel stand or your own setup. Not a single hole was threaded. I also received no bolts or hardware with the product. Just a set of poorly worded instructions loosely referencing 6mm bolts that were supposed to come with it, leading me to believe that the holes should be threaded for 6mm x 1.0 threads. I had to hand tap the 8 holes needed to mount the Master Fence system, and the 14 holes necessary to secure the table to my cabinet. I do not blame the seller for this, as this is clearly a manufacturer's defect, and I am not leaving a bad seller rating either. It is a minor inconvenience to have to tap the holes, but a pretty major oversight in Jessem's quality control. ... show more

This router table top is exactly as advertised and is machined perfectly for JessEm lift plate and fence. Plenty of self tapping screws included along with the tool to install them.
