Put these up immediately when I got them. They are bright and really light things up. There are 2 downsides that I see: 1. there is no on-off switch so you have to manually plug them in and unplug them each time. I'm thinking of getting a remote control outlet to make this a bit easier. 2. the distance from the plug to the first light is close - this means, if you are plugging it in on a low outlet, you have lights running up your wall. It is very nice outdoor light. It has a plastic bulb, so you don't have to worry about the bulb breaking. However, I dont know how durable it is against heat. The manual say not to leave it on for a long period of time without attention.

These outdoor string lights come with a spare bulb. They use E12 bulbs. Well packaged for safe delivery. Easy to hang. Nice warm light, not blinding white light. Waterproof and should last for years.

This is a wonderful set of outdoor lighting that fits just perfectly on the palm trees near my pool. I love the brightness of these lights, because it is just perfect for the atmosphere that I am trying to achieve in my back yard. This particular light set is a great length - and was sturdy enough that I wasn't worried about stringing them across from tree to tree. Years ago, a bare lightbulb would be considered tacky, now they are stylish. I love the amber hue of the lightbulbs and the design that harks back to Thomas Edison. I used these to bring a beautiful glow to my patio. The box says – shatterproof, but the bulbs seem somewhat delicate. These are terrific lights! The best part is that they connect easily to other strands. They give off enough light for the area-- we actually have about 7 other strands running in different directions around the back yard-- and around the porch area. We have them on a timer-- and they are excellent sitting out on the deck-- or late night puppy needs to go out-- We have ours up all winter long-- and through all kinds of weather-- they are shatter proof and they look fabulous.     • Pleasing color string of lights
We plan to use these on our canopy for camping. Haven't had a chance yet, but we did string them up on the back patio to see if they worked. I am not a fan of cool white lights except for in a few specific instances. These have a nice warm color, not harsh or cool at all. We had a similar string that had glass bulbs and shattered a few when packing them. These are plastic, so no worries there. As long as they don't go bad quickly, I think these will work nicely for us. ... show more
