I'm amazed at what you can get by the way of LED lights these days, and these lights are certainly amazing! I'm using them on a bike for Halloween and I've gotten quite a few compliments so far! You'll need batteries for the light boxes but the remotes come with them and work right after removing the plastic battery barrier! They light up great, but I'm only giving 4 stars because they don't come with batteries and you have to use 3 AA batteries for just ONE. It's annoying buying tons of batteries for these types of lights. Good thing I have an electrical engineer for a husband who can convert these into USB rechargeable lights. I don't know why they make all these battery operated still, they should convert them to chargeable instead. ... show more

I am using these as Halloween decorations on my stair railing. They look really good. There are a bunch of different settings but I just use the steady on. I have not tried them outside or used the timer so can't comment on that. But the remote works fine - just need to be pretty close and have a clear line of site. These lights are awesome! They're pretty bright and have several blinking modes. We like the timer that comes on every night automatically and shuts off after 6 hours. Runs on 3 AA batteries. So far the batteries are going strong after a couple of weeks of running every night. EDIT: The batteries lasted about 5 weeks, lighting for six hours every night! We are very pleased that the batteries lasted so long and are happy with the purchase. ... show more

I literally put these up with some clear sticky hooks on my kids headboards (yes we prep early for Halloween) the day we got them in the mail which was over 2 weeks ago…and I have never turned them off ONCE and they are still going STRONG-They aren’t fading/getting dull. I was expecting to have to replace the 3 AA batteries multiple times before Halloween, but maybe not! Love these lights! ... show more

One of the packs came defective, after putting in the batteries, the lights drained right away. The remote doesn’t work well after a few uses. The pack that I have that works is decent quality. The light is bright, but batteries will need to be changed often. Maybe every 3 days if you leave it on.
