You can never have too much EXTRA storage in the tiny cab of a Toyota Tacoma. I ordered this to keep a few small items secretly stashed away. The price right now while on offer, is fair. The concept of this box is good - in theory. But, this particular model of storage box has one Achilles Heel that may occur, if not mindful. It has a push button door lock, and for one part of that lock mechanism they have used a plastic PEG type lock-part, which protrudes. I can foresee this easily getting broken off, if not careful. The box interior dimensions are pretty decent however. I have used a household permanent marker to give a sense of scale. I feel sure that I could fit my large phone with its cover-case in this space, with room to spare. I am just not sure how ell and for how long the double sided tape will hold this in place. Only time will tell, for that answer? As you can see this container sits very nicely into the space available in the console lid. What I especially like is that it also uses the "pen-clip" as a further method to secure this storage box. When installing this, make sure to place the box into this clip first while you are aligning and inserting the box into the lid void. You should feel and hear a very satisfying "Click" if successful This clever adaptation will definitely add to the long-term reliability of keeping this storage box secure, as it is now not just relying on the integrity of the double-sided tape. A final point to be aware of. IF you have ANY large items in your top tray (if you have one like me as shown, that is), be mindful that your console lid may not close fully. Place those larger items in the lower part of your console and only keep those items in your top tray that fall BELOW the height of the top tray itself. Though this is a clever use on unused pace, sadly, I have dropped a star for the sketchy plastic lock components with its questionable durability. ... show more

Fit is decent but the stick it has on it is terrible. Would have to apply some sort of construction adhesive to the back to make it stick.

The media could not be loaded. I really like this product. It’s clever, it fits very well in the lid of my consul. It will be nice to put my valuables in there when I don’t wanna take it out hiking with me somewhere.
