  • Let’s dig
Works good, I used it to dig a 30’ trench, made the job easy.

  • Heavy Duty 🤙🏼
Works good. Put it on my drill at the deer lease. Heavy duty and well made. Make sure you have a good drill or you’ll burn it up.

  • It's HUGE but be careful
The media could not be loaded. we started the hole with a battery operated drill and finished it with a brand new electric drill but I can only upload one video so I can't show both but here's what happened. It worked GREAT at creating the hole, no problems there BUT... When we used our BRAND NEW battery powered drill to create one hole it overheated and we had to stop before the hole was finished so he switched out to a BRAND NEW electric drill and by the time we were finished (apx 30 seconds) the new electric drill was smoking and ended up fried but the battery powered one is okay because he stopped in time. The bit itself is great but it is really hard on your equipment and it cost us an expensive piece of equipment. He has been building homes, small engine repair and doing handyman work his entire life so he knew what he was doing, it wasn't exactly a human error thing but in hindsight, do your hole bit-by-bit, don't dig the entire hole in one try, take breaks even on the smallest project and check your drill often. Our project was creating a hole to put a fence pole in for a chicken coop run and the hole wasn't exactly excessive but using the bit is just really really hard on your drill. It didn't start smoking until he finished, immediately after I stopped filming so the drill was ruined before we ever knew there was a problem and the drill ran for only the short time shown in the video. Overall the bit itself is great but be VERY careful with your equipment. To use it just to plant a bulb it should be okay but I don't recommend using it for fence post holes of any size because the bit itself will do it but your drilling equipment might not. *If this review helped you let me know by hitting the Helpful button. • Great Bit Foe Planting
I do recommend using a 1/2 inch drill instead of a 1/4 inch to keep from burning up the brushes. The Auger was great for planting bulb flowers and other plants.

  • Drills through pure clay dirt. Love it.
I rarely review items I have purchased but this is AMAZING! I have pure clay ground and wanted to plant some raspberry bushes. I am a senior citizen and knew it would kill me in this heat to try and dig holes for the bushes. I purchased this and put it on my cordless drill and wow did it ever do the trick. I had to drill 4 holes beside each other in a square to make it big enough for each raspberry bush but I had the job done in one afternoon with little effort. I am beyond impressed with this auger. ... show more

  • Time saver
I do a lot of landscape work and this thing really works. The soil in my area is sandy, so I can't rate it for clay. It can dig a 18inch hole in seconds. I've planted 24 plants with it so far and it shows no sign of wear. Use a heavy duty drill on low speed for best results.

  • It broke after digging 4 holes.
Greetings Amazon Traveler. Stay awhile and listen. I only take the time to write reviews when I think it will help someone and this is one of those cases. DO NOT BUY THIS. A 3/8" shaft spinning a 1" shaft that is in turn spinning a 4 inch auger is a bad idea. After only 4 holes in my flower garden, dug in composted and cultivated soil, my handheld electric drill snapped the end-piece clean off. Like it was a matchstick. (Yes, I had the clutch enabled too; so it would not twist my arm in case it binds). We lost an entire day, having to drive around town looking for pickaxes and whatnot, the one day both me and my spouse could take off from work to finish up our garden, this thing ruined it, and both our backs. In fairness, the auger spiral is beefy, feels well built (and digs great when it works) and I am sure would last a long time. But you need some kind of spinning tool that can grab a 1" tube. A drill with a 3/8 clutch, nope. ... show more
