My friend from Japan suggested this Futon for a trip I went on for a month. It was great sleeping on it during that month. It's surprisingly comfy and pretty easy to fold up. I ended up bringing it back to America and I use it every couple of nights. I used the mattress cover it came with for a while but I would suggest getting one that suits your tastes a bit better. I originally bought another one from another brand and was very disappointed with very little comfort and barely any padding so I returned and chose this futon by Dr. Futon. This futon is used for my child's bed and he loves it. All my children say it is very comfortable! I am very pleased with it and I look forward to buying another one in the near future! I'm pleased with the overall construction and comfort of the Dr. Futon mattress. I found that one mattress was not thick enough to provide comfort when I slept on my side. My hip bones felt like they were hitting the floor. I weigh 172 lbs. I ordered a second one to stack on top and this has solved the problem. I have not attempted to roll it up into the carrier bag. Thickness is very sufficient and pairs very well with my 2 inch gel foam topper underlayment instead of a tatami mat. Would recommend and would buy again.
