Very quiet operation considering it has 5 fan speeds. We set up for operating with the IOS app and it connected and worked flawlessly. It purified our entire home in 9 hours. On Auto, it maintains our home air between 1-3. No matter which room I rolled the purifier into we had the same readings. We also run 2 humidifiers in our home during the winter months. So far, they have not affected the purifier operating effectively. If you are looking for a whole home air purifier, I highly recommend this model. as shown in the pictures, this unit has its work ahead of it -- the space it's in is very large -- 22' ceilings and an adjoining 20' hallway not shown going past the stairway -- maybe should have the JF999 but there were only so many coins in the Piggy Bank -- on automatic, it doesn't pull much air from the higher areas, but on level 4 and 5 you can see all of the particles in the air from all directions floating toward the Purifier -- the noise level on 3,4 and 5 is about the same as the noise from our furnace returns and outlets there is a distinct difference in the amount of air circulation using all 5 levels -- in the morning the sun comes through the windows above the Microwave which is the way we can see the particles in the sunbeams -- it's like watching Lemmings following their leader to be trapped in the filters -- unbelievable how much dust comes out of a tissue box when you pull a tissue out -- the air was clean when I came home from church today and just walking around on the hardwood floors kicked up a lot of dust -- couldn't be easier to change the filters with the magnetic catches on the panels -- there are no gaps around the filters so all of the air has to pass a filter -- the pre-filter is a very fine mesh durable enough to hold up when vacuuming -- when the filter is shaken you can hear the loose carbon pellets shaking around in their small cavities -- the controls are easy to figure out and the app works flawlessly -- don't have a grasp yet on what the particle readings are trying to me -- is the # related to the particle size or the density of the particles -- haven't had the speed change during the Auto cycle -- the highest 2.5 reading so far that I noticed is 8 then I increase the speed and it goes down to 1 quickly -- only reason I can think of to not get this is if you believe a UV light or Ion Generator exposed to the air for a quick second would be of any benefit I don't think it would myself -- I ordered a set of Odor Filters and installed 1 each of the included filter and Odor Filter -- the Odor filter facing the kitchen -- don't know how efficient that is but my brain said give it a try -- my brain is more reluctant to put this in the Bathroom as my wife suggested -- don't think I want those particles inside this unit -- the Odor Filters are noticeably heavier and have a gold band around the edges -- originals are silver -- I think the fit and finish of this unit is worth the premium price and am not sorry I ordered it ... show more

I’ve done a lot of research before I ordered an air purifier and read lots of reviews, but not all air purifier do what they claim to do. The main reason I was looking for a purifier was helping with cooking and household odors and pet dander. I’m impressed so far with this air purifier. It does a great job overall. Before I ordered this product I had a Levoit Everest and even so it was an attractive purifier it didn’t removed any VOC, odors, pet dander or even smoke. The Jafanda purifier immediately turns on when you frying food or using hair spray and detects it from a distance. I’ve noticed barely any dust and pet dander is trapped by the pre filter. The main reason I decided for this model over more expensive competitors was the different filter options for your specific needs. The regular filter is already great, but I’m going to test the odor filter next. The purifier is super quiet and I love the temperature and humidity feature. Would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective purifier. ... show more

We live where there is smoke from wild fires and the air quality is often in the "hazardous" zone. We have issues with allergies as well. The Jafanda 999 is awesome! The unit quickly exchanges the air and the odors/pollution from the smoke are gone. What I like the most is the quiet dB of 22 on the low setting. It truly is whisper quiet. I am currently running a fan speed of 3 and it is not intrusive at all. This product is very well made and the dual filter system is a plus! This unit has casters, so it is easy to move into our bedroom and utilize it there. While the Jafanda 999 has a "smart" app feature, you don't have to use it to run the air purifier, so the manual override is important. ... show more

Right away you can see this machine is all quality. Runs very quite on levels 1-3, 4 and 5 bit noisy but not really for amount of air speed at these levels. Auto works good. Was registering a level1 of particulates then after cooking in kitchen ( purifier is in dining room) it was registering 14 and adjusted fan. Great machine but pricey ... show more

We have used the air purifier for a few months now. It has not disappointed us. I use the auto mode the most during the day. It's pretty effective and quiet, and you can hardly hear it's there. I have noticed my house smells better pretty quickly after cooking. Also upon coming back from traveling for a few days, the house no longer smells stuffy and musty.
