  • Jackson Bass
It was shorter than I thought, But fits him well with a lot ot tone options as a concert Bass. But my son absolutely loves it. He loves how it sounds in class at school and the fact he has his own quality instrument. It fits a regular guitar case/pack.

  • Great Little Bass for a 6 Year Old
My 6-year-old son has been playing RockSmith on my full size bass for the last 8 months or so. We do lessons every so often but he was really struggling with the size of the instrument. We decided to get him this for Christmas and it has made all the difference! This bass is light weight and thin. He can reach around the body much more easily and can tune it without shifting the guitar all the way up the neck. His fingers can also reach the frets much better so he isn't sliding his anchor point all over the neck and is building up the strength in all of his fingers. The instrument has good tone and plays easily but you will have to watch the fret buzz and accidental bends on the strings. Since the strings are short, they have to be looser to reach the correct pitch. This makes them bend like butter which can pull your note out of tune quickly. Overall, I am very impressed with this bass. It has a good sound, looks good, and fits his size well. ... show more

  • An Amazing Comfort, Beautiful and Raw Sounding Bass. The catch. its built like crap!
This is my favorite. It's comfortable, looks killer, and sounds great. Its short scale has exponentially improved my playing. If you have small hands or are a younger rocker thats looking for a pure badass heavy metal bass guitar this is it! The catch? It's built quality is atrocious. I have two of these. Each having their own head ache causing issues. My older silver one constantly has to have its input jack fixed. It keep getting loose over and over and over and over and over and over again. My new purple one's truss rod cover's screws were broken right of the the box. I tried to adjust my truss rod but cover screws are stuck. I constantly have to bring this to the guitar shop. I've had basses at a similar price range and they did not have this many mechanical problems. I've had Ibanez and Yamaha's in the "budget range" and they were very reliable. Buy this bass if absolutely need it but remember you'll have to deal with the mechanical issues later. This bass is best for seasoned vets for can do repairs on their own. For beginners please look elsewhere, you wan't a budget bass that will last. This aint it. ... show more

  • Not bad
Update... the volume knobs are bad enough for me to want to replace them. Since both have the same noise I assume this is not a one off problem but the result of using cheap parts. (others might want to comment on this). To make matters worse, the knobs are cemented on making replacing the controls very difficult. So I'm reducing my rating to one star. ... show more
