Description

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY WITH A SMIDGEN OF HOMICIDE USA Today Bestselling author Tonya Kappes brings you southern and quirky characters in her mystery series. Her stories are charged with humor, friendship, family and life in small southern towns. Let me be the first person to welcome you to Normal, Kentucky located in the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest. I'm Mae West the owner of Happy Trails Campground. Fall at the campground is my favorite time of the year. The bursts of orange, yellow, green, and red pop on the falling leaves, creating a colorful path along the trails for all of my guests at my campground is a real life picture that could never be captured by a camera. Days are warm and at night you need a light sweater to enjoy the campfire or snuggle up in a cozy blanket. The campground is full and the campers are excited to participate in Normal's annual Pumpkin Carving Contest. It's a little spooky seeing the hundreds jack-o-lantern faces all light up with toothless or toothy smiles. It's the dead body or two among them that chills me to the bone. Especially when one of those bodies is found in a cave and someone I love is a suspect. And when Hanks asked me for input on the case, I knew it was important. The Laundry Club Ladies and I are once again putting our sleuthing skills to good use in hopes the tricks aren't on us! Read more

  • Fun and Funny
Two of my favorite things: cozy mysteries and this new addiction of revamping campers and tiny living. Dottie was hilarious. I chuckled more often than not while reading this book. It was a quick and fun read.

  • Great book
What a great Fall themed book! The details of Fall/ Halloween made me feel I was there. This mystery kept me on my toes. Just when I thought I had things somewhat figured out, no it was not the case. This was so good and the ending really surprised me. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did!

  • Fun, with murders
The Laundry Club is at it again…with another murder to solve. This time it hits home because the prime suspect is the sister of Mae’s boyfriend. Along the way, there is Mammoth Cave info, a Halloween party and more. The story is filled with good clues and even better sleuthing. A fun and well-written story. ... show more

  • Great book!!!!
I really love, love this series!!!!!! It's the start of Halloween week with the campground getting ready for the parties with a full campground. Mae , Dottie and Henry setting up the decorations, Hank returns and asks for Mae's help. What can she do after he has told her not to meddle in his cases, before he ran away from her never to be heard from. She heard him out, but not after she had to speak her piece, and then thought it over and agreed to help him and his sister Ellis the one that tried everything she could to break them up. What could she have done to have Hank hide her out for the trouble she is in????? Framed for a crime!!!! It is a tangled web of lies, deception, cheating, and murders. Now you have to get this book to find out what Mae had to do!!!!! ... show more
