Fantastic power supply for all of my adventures! The portability and utility of my Jackery 500 with the 100w solar panel allows me to keep all of my devices charged when I need them. I can even use a small 12v heater to warm up my small camper in the winter. If I'm at a campground with power available I can plug it in and keep it fully charged and if I am in the backcountry I can set my solar panel up to keep my phone, tablet, lights and other devices charged and ready. After reading many reviews and research, I gave in and purchased. I run a cpap and fan during electricity outage and camping. Both box fan and cpap ran about 6-8 hours. Solar charge took about 6 hours, electric charge about 2. Compact and light weight. I bought converter for car adapter plug for cpap separately. I am pleased with my purchase and peace of mind for a good night sleep when electricity is unavailable is worth the money spent. ... show more

Had to save up for this and it is worth it. Holds a charge like no other and lasts a reasonable amount of time, depending on what you're plugging in, of course. Haven't had a chance to try out the solar panel yet, but plan to once I go on my Summer camping trip. I originally wanted the Jackery Solar Generator 5000 Plus Portable Power Station with 2x 500W Solar Panels and Smart Transfer Switch for camping and emergencies, but the price tag was a bit much for a product and company I wasn't familiar with. So I got this one as a test drive, and I'm glad I did. I definitely plan to save up for the 5000 Plus. The 500 is great too, and I plan to keep it as it's great as a small portable generator. It's not heavy at all and all of the available ports are very convenient and easy to use. The Solar panel is a big bonus as well, I can't wait to try it out this Summer. ... show more

I bought this July 12, 2023. I used this for camping twice, and small amounts hear and their to charge my phone. I liked using it, solar panle whould charge it to 100% in a couple of hours from the nights use the day before. My Problem. From the small use, it has died on me. I have tried looking at video to jump start it ,but no luck. I did not see multple people Jackerys die or I would not have spent money on a jackery. This has made me think so little of Jackery, sucks but not have to dive deper into other brands. I thought Jackery would be a little more reliable.     • Alternative to a Generator While Camping

Purchased the Jackery 500 to use instead of a Honda Generator while camping primarily to run my Resmed Airsense 10 CPAP machine. I've been experimenting with the unit for about a week at my home. I purchased a HKY for Resmed Airsense 10 DC Converter compatible with my unit so I could run power off the DC port. First two evenings I left my unit at regular settings which are 6-14 pressure, humidifier set at 4, no heated hose. Both nights used around 31% of the capacity after 9 hours of sleep. Next three nights I turned off the humidifier and each night used about 12% of the capacity after 9 hours. I then started added items like charging my phone and plugging an alarm clock into the AC port. With the CPAP (no humidifier, phone charging, and alarm clock I was using about 14 % capacity each night. The last night the unit had 41% capacity remaining, I ran my CPAP with the humidifier on with no other devices connected. I was surprised when the unit turned off at 0% after 6-1/2 hours. I need to experiment some more but it appears that once the unit reaches lower capacity (40%) the remaining capacity runs out quickly. Overall I really like the unit, well engineered and constructed. I purchased this Jackery as a Christmas gift to my husband. However, the first use came when he was two states away on a fishing trip and I was home alone during a dangerous ice storm. Before he could get back I spent three days and two nights alone without power. Because of the widespread outage, it was DARK at night for as far as the eye could see which made me quite unnerved. However, the Jackery came to my rescue and provided power for my electronic devices and (maybe the most comforting thing) power for a regular lamp. Instead of trying to read by candlelight or flashlight, the lamp lit up the room and made the living room feel safe and pleasant. With that and our wood burning stove, I was just fine. In addition, it ran the CPAP machine all night! Recently we began our camping season and on our first trip after the sun went down and the COLD air settled, we used the Jackery to run our tv inside the RV. The campground had no power, and since it's rude to run the generator in the evening we were very pleased to have some entertainment without disturbing our neighbors. Again, it ran the CPAP all night and by day we simply recharged using the solar panel we had bought with the Jackery. I'm looking forward to using the Jackery all summer and fall for camping and then should another disaster befall, I'll be ready. It certainly adds a layer of confidence when my husband decides to head out on another one of his adventures! ... show more
