  • Amazing!
I can’t say enough about this. It’s easy to use, charges quickly, portable, very high quality. I have not used it yet to power something but I live in a hurricane zone so I’m sure it won’t be long. Also plan to use it camping and taking it when we set up the hunting camp.

  • A great addition
The only thing I did not like had to do with the delivery. I never received the opportunity to rate the delivery. There seems to be one driver who just drops off packages on the top step, out in the open where all can see. Being most unsafe. I’m very grateful that I came out and discovered my packages before anything happened to them. Most deliveries put the package right up by the door. That is where it should be. I think I am going to enjoy this Jackery. I have been practicing with it around the house, and it works great. I love the solar panels. they work great. I look forward to taking it out on the road and camping with it. I think it will bring a nice level of comfort and security. ... show more

  • IMPORTANT: read BEFORE you purchase a Jackery product--UPDATED 3/29/22
IMPORTANT: read BEFORE you purchase a Jackery product--#2 UPDATE, 3/19/22 PROS REFUND: -Jackery offers a 30-day money back guarantee IF you purchase directly from Jackery. JACKERY WARRANTY: -the standard warranty is for 24 months, "starting on the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser": note that the warranty begins on the date of purchase, NOT the date you receive the device; what this seems to mean is that, if the shipping is delayed long enough that you cannot fully charge it within 7 days of purchase, the warranty for the device's battery may be void - see below -for those who are willing to register their device (which requires disclosing some personal data) Jackery will extend the warranty to 3 years but only if purchased "on Amazon (Jackery Inc), a Jackery website or local authorized dealers." -the warranty does not apply to the battery cell "unless the battery cell is fully charged by you within 7 days after you purchase the product and at least once every 3 months thereafter" ALTERNATIVE WARRANTY OPTION AVAILABLE ON AMAZON: Asurion. 4 years for a reasonable price AND no need to agree to Jackery's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy -during and after manufacturer's warranty: "drops, spills, and cracked screens covered from day 1" -after manufacturer's warranty: "mechanical/electrical malfunctions"; "failures due to normal wear and tear" -battery replacement NOT covered -for additional FAQs, go to Asurion.com/amazon/FAQ1 BATTERY (quotations are from the JSG-1500B User Manual, which is undated) -"keeping it plugged in won't cause damage to the battery" (in other words, it's okay to keep it plugged in all the time in case of power outage) -"please recharge it every 3 months to keep the battery power above 50% if you don't use it" - failure to do so will void the 2-year warranty for the battery cell -"it's suggested to recharge the battery before the power drops below 15%."* -using the battery while simultaneously charging it is NOT recommended as this "will cause damage to battery life." -"the AC output port can charge/power devices that operate at less than 1800W"- Our experience: the JSG-1500B had no problem handling 1700W, including 80W for our UPS (see below) and 1620W for our microwave oven (which we used for a total of 4 minutes throughout the day, 2 minutes per session) *IMPORTANT: yesterday, when the LED informed us that the battery was down to a 24% charge, it also stated that we had 4.5 hours remaining; what this appears to mean is that, if we were not regularly checking on the remaining charge, the battery might have discharged to well below 15%, which Jackery does not recommend USING AS A UPS (UNINTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY) -though the JSG-1500B "can't be used as a UPS" directly, we successfully used it as a source of power for our separate 1500W UPS -because we did not allow our JSG-1500B to drop to a State Of Charge (SOC) of 0% (we disconnected it at 24%), the UPS's battery was never activated CONS -Though the generator is designed specifically for portable use outdoors, THE SOLARSAGA 100 PANELS ARE NOT WATERPROOF -Pass-through use (using while charging) is NOT RECOMMENDED ... show more

  • Best Solar Generator
Super easy to use and charges relatively fast in a yard that has limited direct sunlight. I have gotten the recharge rate up to 360 watts ( each solar panel is rated for 100W) so not bad. I have been plugging each appliance in my house (1 at a time) to determine wattage...for instance my 27 cut freezer came in at 127 watts which indicated 10 hours of run time (1534/127*0.85)... I ran the freezer 24 hours and the 1500 jackery went from 94% to 41% charge. your freezer will vary depending on insulation and how often the compressor cycles. I'm having fun withit! ... show more

  • expect only 80% panel absorption solar input
Overall it works for full time off grid usage as long as there are sunny days. Weight is not bad for single usage yet every day set up hauling becomes a two handed braced against your body challenge. Charging thru auto is not very fast or thru another generator. The most efficient recharge is from home electricity if you have it where off grid it is not available or full day of constant sun. The set up is relatively easy for portable panels though the back braces mostly came undone from the upper part of each panel which is essential to lean them toward the sun, I had to repair with glue three, one on each set of three to be able to continue to lean them to the southern sun. Have four sets to equal 400 watts yet input rarely if ever goes over 280 watts input in full sun. Have been using it daily for 2 months now off grid. It is an expensive purchase where others are much cheaper. Also using a solar car screen over the generator unit to prevent it from getting too hot on very sunny days. Happy with it, yet wonder if it will make it thru the southern Tennessee winter to help with minimum electricity usage as I do not remember if it had a recharging limit. Though I did watch a youtube review which stated to only expect 500 total discharge days, it will help me make it thru the winter though not using for small fridge or any other large appliances it does run a toaster & a small coffee maker which only needs around 640 volts to make toast or coffee then shut them off. Using mostly for laptop, charging usb devices like lamp and cell phones. Does run a TV yet save this usage for sun charged days for night use and have a back up duel fuel generator for those cloudy days. Would be more useful if it had an expansion back up battery pack which is one I will purchase if I choose to buy another portable as I will have solar panel array for later. ... show more
